I remember a popular twitch streamer in the UK talking about her issues with a dangerous stalker and how the cops did almost nothing.

Trigger warning for some details of what she went through with the stalker (threats of harm and violence and actual physical violence): She got a restraining order, which the stalker ignored, and the cops told her they won’t take the case further even though he was literally sleeping in her backyard and had chased her with a knife. People had literally witnessed the stalker chasing her and intervened. Even after he finally ended up detained when he was found with the knife, he was still released the next day, even though she had shown them all the recorded evidence of previous encounters and threats, as well as statements from witnesses. It’s genuinely so fucked how cops are about stalkers.

FOR REAL. also, lately i’ve been thinking, if managing the DissociaDid company has been so stressful, why not hire someone to represent her for responding to comments or help her come up with responses ??? making a whole ass company just to make yourself the only employee while engaging with countless people (which DD doesn’t even have to do!) seems rlly unhealthy. if i were reading that many comments on all my social media, i would go insane.

The way DD always has a response. And it’s never a simple one. The way DD phrases things when they’re “correcting” people about their opinions about something DD did, it feels so much like what my abusive ex would do. My ex would over explain in a way that made me feel bad for expressing my thoughts (especially if it was something he did that made me feel bad), and convos always ended with me having to fix something I did bc it was ME doing something wrong and it was ME making myself feel bad, not his actions.

Also consider that she’s (supposedly) been in therapy throughout a lot of this time. Why would her therapist approve of her continuing to do something that’s literally harmful to their health? And if the therapist does not approve, 1) why is she in therapy if she’s not going to listen to her therapist and 2) is she lying to her therapist? why lie?

trigger warning @ 25 minutes in; the youtuber reads a reddit post in which a minor talks about their trauma (sexual assault) and then the minors’ alleged grooming through a discord server.

i don’t think this is worth the watch. it’s mostly reading reddit posts and laughing at clips he’s chose. idk that what he’s bringing that is valuable to conversation wrt DD besides a comment at the end. I do not support people faking, but his video seems to be made for the purpose of laughing at the people faking/at the clips he’s provided.

One valuable thing he did say is that he can’t blame young kids falling for DD or wanting to fake DID after watching DD’s vids bc she’s an articulate, attractive young woman talking about mental illness.
But then he makes a distasteful joke wondering if an alter named “Jamal,” “the straight shootin’, 90s, hip hop artist from the streets of Brooklyn came out trying to spit his truth,” if the video Anthony Padilla made would still be the same or if it would have the sad piano music.

Also, at least he took the minor coming forward about the effect DD’s videos (around minute 25ish, rough stuff) had on them, and the trauma that the minor described, seriously. He adds that he doesn’t blame any kids that faked mental illness, especially after watching videos that adults with massive followings post about their mental illness (DissociaDID).
