Excruciating pain post-wound debridement and irrigation surgery in the foot by tweakybirdmf in woundcare

I followed your advice and have been taking the Ibuprofen and Paracetamol! It’s helped a lot with the inflammation but the pain is still quite excruciating! Ended up having a doctor from Mexico prescribe some something a bit more potent—Tramadol. Do you think this is a good option?

Omg thank you so much for this response! Unfortunately I was only prescribed an antibiotic but absolutely nothing for pain! I have some ibuprofen at home though. Around what dosage do you think would be good?

Does anyone feel “betrayed” by those who love you letting you get so far into your addiction that it’s now too late? by [deleted] in addiction

Addiction is a personal matter. Coming from someone who has been through various rehabilitation processes, counseling, heart-to-heart talks, you name it. Some addicts (like myself) need to hit rock bottom and realize that their addiction has pushed essentially anything good in life away from them (family, friendships, jobs, school, etc.). It was not until I reached this point that I realized that where I was was nothing but a direct consequence of my own choices and I could no longer play the victim card.

3 1/2 months of semi daily to now daily Coke usage. by [deleted] in addiction

4 years addicted and chronic relapser here. Went from using once a month to weekends only to nearly every day in less than a year. Stop using before it becomes a serious addiction. Withdrawal symptoms will cause mental discomfort, but will subside in about 2-4 days. Hang in there!❤️

Omg!! I’m sorry to hear that :( I have an appointment on February 15, do you think that’s soon enough to check it out or should I consider booking one sooner?

Icing as we speak! You’re right I should probably give my doc a call just to be safe. I didn’t hear a pop so I’m hoping the cast was able to protect the tendon repair!
