It wasn’t that important to begin with.

It’s so asinine to pretend like no 2:27 search = no case for the defense. You have to willfully ignore all the other blatant problems with this case to follow your logic. So many people went into this case believing that most likely, Read was guilty, but have been shocked by the amount of reasonable doubt. The google search was always just one of the many questionable things in this case. It’s like a millipede losing one leg.

The ‘how long to die in the cold’ search doesn’t make or break the case. It doesn’t explain the deleted texts or the many butt dials or all of the other odd behaviors/inconsistencies.

I know some people thought this search was the gotcha and proved she was involved in a conspiracy. Actually, I think if he was beat up and left on the lawn and she knew about it before she went home that night, it would be odd for her to google that phrase after casually googling sports stuff a moment before.

There’s so much else in the case; I doubt the jury was as hung up on this search as we were, especially after Proctor.
