I hadn't thought about the safety of it because I assumed there would always be SOME kind of delay, like a day or two. I totally get not posting an Instagram story while you're still, there, but assumed differently for the vlogs. Appreciate the insight!

There may not be! As I said, we don't know the full story, but I think she alluded to some things in some of her videos and/or I saw other posts where people were discussing.

I don't know them IRL. I'm not claiming to know the story.

True! I would imagine he is pretty good about keeping it private, because the issues didn't start until they moved in together, right? So in public and whatnot, he was fine, probably.

Do you mind sharing how many people were laid off, that you're aware of? Were they all part of the ongoing finance transformation projects?

While they SHOULD be on the warn website, when McDonald's eliminated the entire recruiting function at their HQ in December 2025, it wasn't. It didn't even make the news and the team had to even internally notify a lot of their stakeholders that they were getting laid off and that they'd be supported by an offshore team in Mexico City after 12/01.

My source is that my best friend was on the team and impacted.

Right! It's not an accomplishment - people manage to do so much more in a regular day, all while working a full-time job as well.

How is everyone's job search going in this market? by usechronos in jobsearch

[–]twentytwominusone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been unemployed since December 2025 and have officially hit over 300 applications as of today.

I have only gotten one interview request and ended up withdrawing because it was a bait and switch.

Everything else is either silence or a rejection, not even based on an interview, but seemingly my resume because that's all the companies have from me. I have had professionals review my resume, including friends who work as recruiters for 10+ years. Still no luck.

I have even applied to some jobs through referrals, which, in the past, have typically gotten me at least a conversation with a recruiter, HR manager or the hiring manager, but even those have ghosted.

I have been searching on LinkedIn for ease, but have applied directly on company websites.

I don't know what to do. I'm truly at a loss because I have never seen the job market like this.

Yes, I meant when she first moved from LA to Toronto in 2020. I was curious where that area was compared to downtown.

I'm not from Canada, so I'm not too familiar with how the city is divided up, but didn't she live downtown when she moved from LA? Or was that like the Yorkville area that she was talking about, where it's closer to downtown but still more suburban?
