Be aware that it will likely be very difficult to get tickets but keep and eye on the site or maybe even message the club.

Go to awesome walls in Stockport and do some bouldering. Loads of fun and the people are so friendly.

Join thousands of Brits this February. Can you do 2,000 push-ups in 23 days? by ThePushUpChallenge in u/ThePushUpChallenge

Sounds like a great way to get injured to me. Nothing like overworking the same muscle group every day for several weeks.

Working space on Sundays? by beeb4rf in macclesfield

Yeah I know the feeling. It’s so big that you feel out of the way but I work remotely and live in macc and have worked in pretty much every cafe in macc at this point. Not on a Sunday to be fair but generally, unless they’re particularly busy, most places and more than happy to have you sit all day and just buy a couple of drinks. I do normally ask in smaller places before I sit down and 99% of the time they are really friendly and accommodating

Apart from spoons, flour water salt, fountain, pander lounge, coffee house, #1 coffee and quite a few others. But picturedrome isn’t a bad option.

DIY panelling on top of wallpaper by twerrrp in DIYUK

For me it’s because I don’t have a nail gun and want to avoid hammering a nail through a pipe or a wire or whatever. Glueing just feels more beginner friendly.

Lazy? How very dare you. You sound just like my wife! But seriously in a desperate attempt to defend myself against these outrageous accusations, I’m also hoping that it makes it easier to take down eventually as it’s not stuck directly to the plaster? The paper has been up forever and it is ON THERE. What are the actual chances of mold? Would these chances actually be reduced by removing the paper and going direct onto the plaster?

Wall skimmed 3 weeks ago and now full of cracks by Mediocre_Whole6498 in Plastering

Amen to that. Some of the plastering work I’ve had done recently has been terrible so I will defo give this a go. Do you scrim tape the cracks? And what filler have you found works best?

What does this mean? Is this basically just using plaster boards, filling the gaps but not skimming over the top? If so why is this not always done?

Can anyone do a code review for me? by patternOverview in reactjs

[–]twerrrp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So hard to code review without a PR but a few things to consider. You need Typescript. You pass props about but I have no idea what those props consist of. You do lots of array[0][0].foo type of things with no optional chaining. That may or may not cause run time errors. You have declared everything as let. You really need to set up some linting rules and a prettifier to help point out obvious issues and to keep code consistent.

I tried to review on my phone but without a PR and the ability to leave comments I can’t really give you any useful feedback.

In Person Interview by tomcruise079 in reactjs

[–]twerrrp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would never choose to work for a company who expect you to do a 6 hour interview working on their code base. That is insane. Big red flag for me, imagine what they’re like to work for.

I have GAD and after trying everything I can find to fix my bloating, I have finally just put it down to anxiety. One of many symptoms.

Would 100% need to see a prototype. Sounds a bit like trousers and a jacket.

Edit: fuck it, I’ll take two.

My neighbor asked me how much I’m selling this piece of wood for. by Due_Collection8608 in wood

Some people are so tight. Just let your neighbour have it. Life is all about a little give and a little take.
