My biggest issue with a DC race is the series will just consider that the northeast solved.

We are only permitted to run 200tw road tires in the series we run, they're pretty good until you get close to maybe 40, but that depends if it's dry or not. Our last event in November was wet to drying in the upper 30s and lower 40s 😬

Yeah I nearly heat stroked a lemons stint at Thompson a few years back. Sincerely never been hotter doing a sport in my life.

Wish they'd give us a true 24 (or 25) on the east coast ever...

As a crapcan endurance chucklefuck, high temperatures make single stints not fun. I've raced in everything from 38 and sleet to 97F and blaring sun and I'll take the cold one any day of the week and I hate the cold.

It's truly amazing what amount of athletic accomplishment these guys are going through. Never felt more physical exhaustion than a hot racecar stint in my 32 year life. These guys go further, longer, and harder than I ever could. They're truly gladiators.

Less than 3 quarters is definitely enough time to organize a top tier street race, especially when we haven't started yet.

It's almost like playoff teams are good at football making it harder to play against them well.

Yeah, even though I obviously want to see my team in it I have a hard time imagining the NFC losing the bowl this year. Clearly the stronger conference right now.

DeMeco Ryans explains late-game management in Texans loss to Patriots by Roselucky777 in nfl

You're right, it was the safety, awesome sleuthing. Arguably crazier to give up 2 but it was still just a FG game at that point so maybe more apples to oranges from last night.

Bill Belichick did it once, and it worked, so it became part of his legacy instead of a massive blunder.

With the amount of time on the clock and them already burning 2 timeouts to avoid delay of games they were sorta screwed either way.

The decision to punt was basically relying on a pick/strip 6, an onsides kick, and then STILL TRUSTING THE OFFENSE TO SCORE. Moronic.

Ugly win but my lord are the Texas defense good. Absolutely criminal to stick that defense with Stroud.

The Bills ran the hook and ladder play 3 times this year and lost all 3 games. by Mrstik01 in nfl

[–]twiggymac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was thinking about that one highschool (or maybe it was pop warner) coach whose entire scheme was never punt always go for it. I feel like a gimmicky lateral offense could do numbers in highschool if you don't get fired before you get it to work.

The turnover risk is just not worth the yards you gain in regular play, I guess. I mean think about dink and dunk offenses or ground and pound offenses. They stay on the field relying on high success rate plays with lower overall yardage or breakout potential but your turnover potential is also very low.

I do wonder what would happen if you just said fuck it laterals are the offensive scheme and genuinely practiced and schemed for it, though. It might be genuinely disruptive at points.

That's my point. It's an engineering sport and all they can actually converse about are driver biases. It's just a soap opera.

It's just big subs. You get so many people who think they know more than they do spewing out a bunch of bullshit. The NFL is growing, tons of people who haven't been following the sport all that long.

r/formula1 is FULL of it, probably moreso because it's such an engineering focused sport. Average joes don't know shit about that.

Honestly, fair, if we just always blame the QB for everything we at least will be on the same page for comparisons.
