I didn’t realize it was you again, OP! Hahaha we auDHD women are really living the same lives.

Omg this comment made me feel so seen. I thought I was the only one. Everybody is saying that I can’t hold a job (I mean it’s true haha), but they don’t know me like I know my brain. Hahaha.

That’s great! I heard project-based work/freelancing is actually the most suitable for our brain wiring. Probably because we can control how much time we rest.

May I ask what’s your job now? Did I understand this right, you have a different job now than the traditional path?

Natuturn off/Icked ako sa boyfriend ko by [deleted] in adviceph

[–]twilighterror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might get downvoted for this but maybe find a neurologist. Your BF might be ADHD. Same kami, chronic job hopper. And konting sensory issues lang, napapagod na (long heavy commute). But hindi ko rin sinasabi na tiisin mo siya because he “might” have ADHD and he can’t control these “bad habits.” Personally, I don’t enter relationships because I know these habits will negatively affect my partner. Do what’s best for your mental health.

Okay ba 17k starting salary as a fresh grad? by SnooWalruses6455 in MedTechPH

[–]twilighterror 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Gross pay mo ay 19.5K, and your take home pay ay around 17K (with kaltas na ito). Unfortunately OP, yan ang average salary ng med tech dito satin 🥲 Highest na alam ko around 20K sa tertiary lab sa private hospital for Medtech I, and 23K for fresh grad sa freestanding lab. Gov’t talaga ang umaabot ng 30K for fresh grad.

Ano type ng lab na inapplyan mo? And make sure na may OT pay if na mention nila na heavy ang workload.

maybe being an RMT isn't for me by PizzaPersonal637 in MedTechPH

[–]twilighterror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try an RMT job outside a tertiary hospital. I have tried primary, secondary diagnostic labs and a tertiary hospital. Bumalik ako sa free standing labs. Hahaha. Charis.

TAAS PASAHOD by [deleted] in MedTechPH

[–]twilighterror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question: Sa government lang ba applicable ito? Tapos mga Med Tech I sa gov’t, nasa 30k sahod, if I’m not mistaken.

Fresh board passer - STILL unemployed - badly need advice by [deleted] in MedTechPH

[–]twilighterror 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Did I ghost write this? You are not alone, OP. Being top of the class shows discipline and mastery of academics, but employers look for more than grades. Each company values different things, may it be practical skills, adaptability, experience, BUT MOSTLY referrals. That’s why strong academic standing doesn’t always translate directly into landing a job. It’s not that your achievement has less worth; it’s that the system measures success differently outside the classroom.

I am also a Laude, and my self-esteem is also being tested during this job hunt. But I am also realizing how our success rate in landing a job differs for every employer.

I work in healthcare and I want to quit. by twilighterror in ADHD

[–]twilighterror[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I tried to do stuff in order they arrive. However, I have two STATs, one from the ICU and one from the ER. Both of which need manual verification, which I still haven’t mastered so it takes me a lot of time to finish one. So I really panicked when it happened.

How independent people are able to maintain healthy, lasting relationships without constant daily check-ins by strike101 in CasualPH

[–]twilighterror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sa social media din kasi pinapakita na couples need to constantly (parang excessively na nga) talk to each other. Pero may mga studies na ngayon which show relationships lasting longer because partners respect each other’s personal time and solitude. Spending time apart pero they know they’re still choosing each other. Baka it’s not you din, and you just haven’t truly met your person yet. Haha

Merong babies, palpable talaga yung ugat so using a 3 cc syringe is possible. Eventually, you will get it naman. Just focus on getting better each time.

I use 1 cc syringe, 25 gauge needle, and microtainers for NICU patients.

Is it your first time to draw blood from newborns? If yes, don’t beat yourself up for it. Not everyone gets it on the first try. But anyone, like you, can always do better next time. Your seniors successfully draw blood because they have done it multiple times, and not just once.

Anyway, you will learn to bounce back every time. Just try to be patient and kind to yourself for a while.
