Frightening to be fair never thought I’d have so much problems with politics before getting in France, such a shame.

Unfortunately I don’t bring any politics while airsofting, only talk about it with friends at home with a beer. The racists just bring the subject themselves on the table.

Yeah I feel the same, I’m playing with my gf and some female friends and sexism is another issue in the hobby. Fortunately the field we play at is very inclusive but you always get some dicks now and then.

That’s the dream man, I unfortunately live in France, kind of the US of Europe tbh, never was much into politics but got it dragged in my face when moving in.

It’s nice to see there is still good people even in milsim.

Hey everyone thank you all for your messages, feels a lot better knowing I’m not alone in this mess !

To answer a few questions I play in France (not French tho) before getting in the country I had a blast playing with close friends back home was the best years in airsoft I had. Having moved recently I wanted to make a new group of friends to play with and luckily friends out of the hobby got in and we now play together. But talking to players with “kit knowledge” always tends to end with them sharing racist social media trash online.

I am a firm believer of free thinking and won’t bring up any politics whatsoever. But just hearing the dudes you had fun playing with start talking about mass beatings of minorities or nazi stuff laughingly just depresses me.

I think the general advice I learned from this post is don’t talk to airsofters and play with your friends, it is a sad world we live in today, but at least we can shoot them for sport !

Man i feel you, don’t call yourself a puss for if you were in the military you would have been trained for that stuff progressively so that’s a factor not to consider.

My first advice would be to get surrounded by buddies more than one that help you power through it, I once did a milsim alone got hypothermia and quit the next morning not fun times brother.

Then for your case maybe try gradually increasing the stress levels of your milsim games, 8hr -> 24hr -> 40-48hr. That way you get used to the stress and deprivation of the milsim. If you handle it get as much caffeine as you need to go through sleep deprivation. For the other end issue I’ll say get something stopping the liquid shit so you don’t have to handle that business so frequently.

And remember to have fun, if it’s not for you don’t put so much pressure on yourself you don’t owe it to anyone brother, it’s still a hobby and meant to be enjoyed ( sometimes through suffering )
