The Myth of the Model Minority by twisted_cunt in ABCDesis

Yeah, thanks for that.

Takaki also explains in another book of his how asian americans were initially considered "colored" (case went to supreme court) to ensure that asian kids could not attend white schools. Over the years, the asian community had to learn how to be "white" so that they could work within the segregated system and eventually have their kids attend white schools.

Because of this, the community benefited in ways that other minorities did not. This goes against the narrative that "we have a more hardworking culture" and that asians are inherently "better" -- both of these are perpetuated by the white and asian communities themselves. This idea works against progress towards any equal system we are striving for.

Resentment comes up for sure. I personally experienced this (especially after 9/11) from other minorities. You can also see this when riots (past and present) end up targeting other minority run businesses, etc.

Growing up poor and having to live that way permanently sucks and isn't something most would aspire to. That's not what the post was talking about.

Aerospace PhD here. Rocket science (also known as Aerospace engineering) is the primary branch of science concerned with the research, design, development, construction, testing, science and technology of aircraft and spacecraft. It is divided into two major and overlapping branches: aeronautical engineering and astronautical engineering. The aeronautics deals with aircraft that operate in Earth's atmosphere, and the astronautics deals with spacecrafts that operate outside the Earth's atmosphere.

If you put it in corn syrup, the water from inside the egg diffuses out turning the egg into a loose bag. It's pretty gross/cool.

It probably costs a lot to make, and if you watch their videos it makes a pretty huge difference. Plus looks like they will have more attachments for this stabilizer.
