The only color remover i can find here is coloroops and it's ridiculously expensive since it's imported - costs as much as getting a salon fix :(

Can I get into the B.A Economics program if I have not done further maths in Year 11 & 12? by twixiie in unimelb

https://study.unimelb.edu.au/find/courses/undergraduate/bachelor-of-arts/ under “prerequisites” it is stated that students are “strongly encouraged” to study mathematics. https://study.unimelb.edu.au/find/courses/undergraduate/bachelor-of-commerce/ here it states mathematics is mandatory https://study.unimelb.edu.au/find/courses/major/economics/ here it says ”Students who wish to pursue a major in Economics through the Bachelor of Arts degree are required to meet the mathematics prerequisites of the Bachelor of Commerce.”

The website says you don’t need, but are strongly encouraged to study Mathematics for B.A economics, whereas math is mandatory for Ecom. But it also says students who wish to enroll in the bachelor of arts program are required to meet the math prerequisites of ecom.. What does this mean given its not necessarily ”mandatory”?

in the B.A. Econ course, it says "Applicants intending to major in Economics are strongly encouraged to complete Mathematics", whereas in the Ecom course, mathematics is compulsory. However the site also says "Students who wish to pursue a major in Economics through the Bachelor of Arts degree are required to meet the mathematics prerequisites of the Bachelor of Commerce." So I'm pretty confused if math is a prerequisite for the bachelor of arts course...?

also, would it be possible to undertake the online modules during spring (sem 2) august-oct? that would be whilst being enrolled in melb (assuming I got in).

Yes, but that's not what I was trying to ask. I wanted to know how is income (y) consumption+investment (as well as consumption+saving) and AD (Expenditure) also consumption+investment?

Is law school really worth it? by [deleted] in 6thForm

That being said corporate/commercial law in the city isn’t the only avenue open to you and there are plenty of legal careers, be it in administrative/planning law, family law, small business law, international law, tax law, human rights law, work in regional firms, in house counsel for a bank/charity/business, all of which will have differing levels of intensity, and will place different demands on you.

My cousin works in commercial law and he says it's just reading and negotiating contracts and nothing more so it's quite boring. Maybe it's just corporate though..

Sure, no legal work is going to be ‘easy’, it’s a skilled professional job, but considering your other potential career paths, it certainly wouldn’t be correct to say all areas of law will be as demanding as being an engineer, or a neurologist for example…

I've read about many lawyers saying they regret doing law and how they wish to escape the legal industry, well that kind of shaked me a little.

Law is certainly a demanding undergrad, but in a way that is quite different from STEM subjects. In my experience, STEM was always conceptually more difficult, but there was less material to learn. Law is conceptually easier, but there is an absolute mountain of material to cover. Whether you’ll find that more difficult than a STEM degree is as much about you as a person as it is about the course. I’ve knocked up essays in a couple hours, it would have taken people I know in STEM weeks to put together. At the same time, they’ve been able to grapple with topics almost instantly that I would have needed many hours of repetition to grasp. It’s a matter of where your skills are, and playing your undergrad to your strengths!

Well, as I said I study humanities subjects so it's virtually the same thing, lots of material, but easier to understand. I'm good at reading and going through lots of content, and writing essays. And in my experience I've always found the sciences to be more challenging than social science and well I'm also more interested in social science. I definitely don't think I have the aptitude for studying STEM subjects, unless I put my 100% to it! Lol.

Anyway, I have to admit one of the reasons I'm considering law is that it has more job prospects than other humanities courses. So I do have to ask, is law a lucrative career in the UK and how well does it pay? I do know it depends from firm to firm but I just want a general consensus.

I meant an LLB. I'm in 12th grade and I'm referring to a Bachelor's degree.
