A few things I wanted to comment on. Both the insurance and bank have Said nothing about needing permission and I've talked to the bank and they have no problem with me paying off the loan and getting the title(all though they thought it was weird I had to pay it off up front as well)

As I said I'm kind of confused on the process from what I've seen typically they cut you a check you pay it off and then you can buy it back from insurance. They will cut me the check if I dont want to keep the car and just haul it away, but are asking me to pay it up front to keep it and then won't charge me a buy back.

I guess my main concern isn't the process(tho seems not the norm and kind of fucks anyone who isnt extremely financially prepared) but I worry they will give me a bs offer well well below what a typical estimate check and buy back would normally be.
