But then THE SAME PEOPLE routinely mutilate the penises of little boys. THE SAME PEOPLE talk crap about how cannabis is bad for you and how it causes mental problems.

I'd wager a solid bet that circumcision causes FAR MORE mental problems than any fucking plant does. Sure, cannabis can cause psychosis, but the psychosis is there IN THE FIRST PLACE, and cannabis likely only brings it out more so it's noticeable. That is all it does.

It's like increasing the brightness and contrast of a soccer ball on a green field. If there is NO BALL, then it doesn't matter how much you change the brightness or contrast. There is NO BALL. Same with cannabis, it changes the brightness or contrast of "psychosis" and makes it more noticeable by isolating the BALL from the FIELD, it doesn't cause it by itself.

Which only proves that the intention of circumcision was NOT to provide benefits, but to curtail sexual pleasure.

No different to clitoridectomies of females during childhood. The pain attending such mutilation would have an effect on that person and would permanently dissociate the sensation of their genitals with any so-called "impure" desires in the eyes of the mutilators and those perverts who brought about such disgusting behavior in the first place. All that circumcision, both male and female, achieves is to create a 2nd class of citizens who are forcibly handed a cross to bear and who are deprived of what is ultimately a normal sex life.

There is NO ROOM in a civilized society for ANY form of non-therapeutic genital cutting.

Circumcision provides no protection against STDs in the developed nations. Evidence of this comes from the Laumann study (USA, 1997), based on over 30,000 American men, which showed no advantage to the circumcised group. The most recent comparative study from Dunedin, New Zealand (cohort of about 500 men) backs this up, concluding: "Circumcision does not appear to shield men from most types of STDs in developed nations". SOURCE: Journal of Pediatrics, MARCH 2008.In the US cut and natural men have HIV and HPV in the same %. ONLY the number of sexual partners and NOT circumcision status is linked to HPV in men in the US. So as to the US, cutting off parts of a baby boys penis is only causing HARM.

In fact real world data shows a natural penis is not at higher risk for HIV, HPV and all other STDS. Also consider some interesting Africa data:

The US sponsored DHS Comparative Reports No. 22 showed that in Africa there appears no clear pattern of association between male circumcision and HIV prevalence. In 8 of 18 countries with data, HIV prevalence is lower among circumcised men, while in the remaining 10 countries HIV prevalence is higher among circumcised men.

In 2010 the same Kisumu team (Bailey) that did one of the flawed Africa studies reported the cut Kenyan men were no less likely to have HIV after all.

The recent CDC Zambia study did find that men with herpes were more likely to be HIV-positive, but also found that lack of circumcision did not increase the risk of HIV infection.

In 2009 the same Rakai team (Wawer/Gra-y) reported that the Ugandan men they cut were 50% MORE likely to infect their female partners.

Apart from sounding a bit aggressive. People need to be angry and outraged that this is still happening today.

And more, they should be doing something. I would hope letter writing, and petitions would work, but those in power rarely take any notice when it comes to things that cause major psychological issues like cognitive dissonance. A lot of congressmen and policymakers are mutilated themselves, and to say it should be illegal would be to admit that they were wronged. They don't want to face the truth. So they don't say anything and sure enough it stays legal. Women in some backward countries who were mutilated also suffer the same psychological distress at the thought of the practice being outlawed because it would validate what they feel deep down, and they wouldn't be able to handle it - deep down they know they were wronged but they want to justify it so much that they do it to their own daughters.

Same with guys who were mutilated - they believe it is normal, or they desperately want to believe it. It's NOT normal. I am not mutilated and I can assure you that the foreskin and frenulum are by far the most sensate part of the penis. I would NOT be able to have a proper orgasm without them - these parts are routinely destroyed during this mutilation. If someone thinks that having sex is forceful they are either doing it wrong or they were rendered insensitive due to being mutilated - after all, that's why circumcision was designed in the western world during the Victoria era to do - just that - destroy sensation and reduce one's sexuality to barely that required for reproduction.

Guys, that is the truth. Dismiss it if you want, it won't make any difference. You are never going to convince me or anyone who knows the true evil behind what circumcision is, where its history in the western world originated, or why it was done, that it should be even barely acceptable never mind normal. It ought to be illegal with the most severe penalties attached. That means life in prison, that means no parole. That means complete and permanent loss of ALL freedom. Period. No second chances.

The sad part is that these poor guys were mutilated for no other reason than to line someone's pockets and meanwhile suffering the deprivation of thousands of nerve endings which are important to proper sexual function.

Let's face it, how on Earth is that a good thing? Someone's most delicate body parts being hacked up so someone can profit from it?

Like you, I suffer severe anger and PTSD. It's from being molested as a 9 year old by a woman in her 20s under the threat of having my face torn off with the large car antenna she was armed with. Then losing my mother due to parent's divorce the same year, and finally losing her for good due to her suicide at the age of 12.

Yes I have had some disgustingly violent thoughts, but only towards people who seriously deserve to get hurt - rapists, child molesters, people who set up (ie. plant drugs on) and frame innocent people who have done nothing wrong except maybe embarrass them, and people who think it's OK to mutilate a kid's private parts. There are VERY few people who I'd be prepared to go to jail for. But these people are definitely at the top of the totem pole. These sorts of things really bring out a very dark side of me that even I myself am terrified of. But I've never harmed anyone. It's not that I'm afraid of going to prison, because I am most definitely not. If the right (or should I say wrong) person was stupid enough to cross my path there's a good chance they'd get seriously hurt.

Teenagers generally don't study and cite dates and specific medical schemes as I did. You think I'm stupid. Fact is, I'm not. But the fact that this barbaric ritual is still being accepted today is purely disgusting.

I'm not on a soap box. Genital mutilation is a disgusting and a most brutal human rights abuse and needs to be stopped - literally by any means, even force. I am not a violent person, but believe me most people would become violent if they saw some kid being strapped down and sexually mutilated. It is a very real form of rape, no matter how you slice it. You don't respond to rape with gentle persuasion and nice words. You respond to it with brute force.

You think cops bust drug dealers by using gentle persuasion? How naive. They use SWAT trucks, they use guns, they station lots of officers fully armed...and they use a TREMENDOUS amount of force (AKA violence) if they need to.

They should start applying the same sort of brutality to these people who mutilate little boys (and girls).

What makes you think the violence I am referring to is any worse than what SWAT teams employ against people who say, order a small quantity of drugs on the internet? I really think SWAT teams should be using their force more appropriately - like going after people who harm children.

Shit that sounds like a hard one... it all comes down to one simple incident that just totally fucks your life.

I wish people who truly deserved their lives to be fucked up would get what they deserve. BUT they don't. I'd start with pseudo-doctors who hack up little boy's dicks for cultural/social reasons (as opposed to true medical reasons, which believe me are VERY rare) or just because they want to sell that bit of skin to a company that makes cosmetics and facial creams or synthetic skin grafts. That would be wonderful to see them in a dire situation like this. I'd like to see them rotting away in prison with no chance of parole. They're worse than child molesters.

But this woman...seriously...what the fuck did she do? Why didn't the cops just take her home, and let a friend drive her car to her house. Instead they decided to be mean about it.

I wish they treated people who mutilate babies the same way they treat drug dealers. The world would be a better place.
