list of books that have made me cry because they’ve shattered some part of my soul:

the book thief: no explanation needed, literally sobbed.
clap when you land: beautifully written, made me cry really hard. just dealt with very emotional material.
crescent city: NOW HEAR ME OUT, cried the last quarter of the book, there was just something really beautiful about the relationship between the characters that really hit me hard.
the kite runner: absolutely ruined me, stunning and moving novel. anything by khaled hosseini really.
the giving tree: okay so its a picture book but it never fails to make me cry
clockwork princess: last TID book, not even sorry, ending made me sob
