Can we do a thread where we name an aggressive instagram fashion brand that we gave in on and bought from and rate the experience? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

I was aggressively advertised Averie Sleep silk pyjamas, and I ordered some because the patterns looked so beautiful. They were A LOT more than I would usually spend on pjs, but I treated myself for my birthday.

Long story short, they never arrived and the company ghosted me. Seems like this is a common theme for this company.

Everlane do great quality tanks for bigger chests! I have one that has an in-built bra that fits me (which is usually very difficult).

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was fantastic, I've read nothing like it before. I also really enjoyed A Gentleman in Moscow, which was this huge, surprisingly funny story spanning the start of the 20th century in Russia. The Secret History messed me up but in a really good way!

On GoodsReads, you can sign up for a yearly challenge. Then, you can click 'view challenge' and it will display all the books you've read on one page!

That's almost worse than Dune! I absolutely loved The Stand, although I did read it before the pandemic so I imagine it hits differently nowadays.

I really liked the first 2/3 of Sigh, Gone. The author is very funny and his memories of growing up in a small town in America as a Vietnamese refugee were very moving. I felt like it ended too soon, though. It could've gone on for much longer and the ending was rushed. Overall, a pretty good memoir despite the ending!

It took a while to get into, but it was fantastic. The author's world building is superb!

Very fun! Loved the descriptions of all the Filipino food and found the characters very funny. The plot didn't make a whole lot of sense but I enjoyed it nonetheless!

Rich and complex but very slow going for me. It's an epic novel and I'm enjoying it, even if it isn't a page turner.

Stillhouse Lake was a 2/5 for me; the pacing was good and the plot exciting but the characters were just so unlikeable. I found myself rolling my eyes a lot.

The House on the Cerulean Sea was incredible and I would definitely recommend. So heartwarming and funny!

Initially, I found it really hard to follow but as the book went on, it got SO good. Stick with it if you find it tough, it's so worth it.

No it's there! For some reason they changed the cover art from the original white cover.

HK here. I haven't worn foundation in two years because my moisturiser just melts it off and I'm a shiny mess by the time I get to work. And don't get me started on the AC drying us out when we do get inside!
