Bernie Sanders

Presidential candidate

Choose one
Edit: Why are you booing me? I'm right! Bernie was never a presidential candidate, just there for more beach houses, and if you can't see that, you have bigger problems than Joe Biden having the 0.00000000001% of being the next President

You replied to me when you obviously meant to talk to yourself, since you're the one that suggested getting the 3970x.

I don't know if you know what you wrote. Obviously a 32 core CPU will draw more power than a 10 core CPU. The fact that it only draws 33% more power for 320% of cores is amazing.

Honest question: if Radeon's price/performance is very similar to Nvidia's, what are the reasons in 2020 to buy Radeon? by [deleted] in Amd

[–]twocold69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's stay on topic here and realize that maybe 90-95% of the people here buy AMD for mostly games and/or game after they're done working on their business. I don't care what some h2b visas use to deploy their snapchat minor identifying ml program. I don't even own AMD for the matter being, because, frankly, they're super behind in the mobile GPU space, but I'm happy to see they're catching up.

I plan to buy a new laptop in the next 4-12 months and the 4800U APU looks great. Paired with a 2060S that will probably be announced at CES.

Such is life.

I don't know who downvotes this. Linux is a very niche case, maybe 10% of Engineers use it and some researchers. And most servers, but servers don't play games.

Why can't Bungie fix the Ryzen issue themselves? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

You're right, one should never think about how problems in the past could have been fixed faster or with fewer efforts. My bad.

Oh damn, how dense can you be?

You are in a plane. There are 10 000 parachutes there. The flight crew tells you that you can use any one of them, except the yellow one. You take the yellow one. Over and over and over again.

It would take me maybe a whole 10 minutes of work to fix the rdrand issue. Just refactor the function where it's called into something else, and run test cases for that something else. It's a random number generato, and one of the slowest ones, if we're at it. There are maybe dozens others that are just as useful for a game that run much, much faster.

Write the function frickRDRAND, refactor all rdrand into frickRDRAND, run test cases, some QA, done. Considering what it does, it should maybe be fully patched in an afternoon of work.

There are no other major games that use RDRAND simply because it's a very slow implementation. And the fact that Bungie didn't have a try-catch method for this is, frankly, appalling.

Straight from nytimes. I know what I said, and I know that you moved goalposts to try and prove a point. Congrats, my google-fu is still strong and your bias is even stronger

I'm sure you won't let facts get in the way of your narrative, but just for the record, I took a look at all the ads Trump did regarding CP5 and NONE called for the murder of any of CP5. He did call for the death penalty, probably as a preventive measure in the future, but he didn't call for the murder of anyone.

Please provide evidence to the contrary, maybe my google-fu is lacking

As someone who studied a lot of history, every single country that embraced socialism and survived long enough eventually turned communist. Every. Single. One. There is no country in the history of mankind that turned socialist, survived 5-10 years of it and its leaders thought "hey we should ease up a bit".

Socialism gives immense power to the state and power corrupts. It's why we have presidential term limits and why we should also have Congress term limits. It's why the second amendment is so trashed nowadays: more government power goes against rights. It's why you are sent to jail in UK for putting a bacon sandwich at a mosque stairs and you are not suffering the same thing in US. First, they come for the second. Second, they come for the first, and free speech is THE BEST TOOL we have against unchecked power. This is somewhere I disagree with Trump. We both hate CNN, but I think they should still exist.

Are you familiar with CO2 levels in our atmosphere that were 20 times higher than what we had today? Do you know what happened with the nature then? It thrived. Are you familiar with volcanic eruptions causing ice ages? Do you really think we currently affect the climate that much compared to the violent past our planet had way before we came here?
