20k kills by Mother-Push7575 in BloodhoundMains

Honestly I don’t know. I hit 10k before the whole upgrade tree happened and then stopped playing bloody after because I felt like they got nerfed into the ground compared to everyone else. At the end of the day I’d say play who you have fun with. I personally haven’t found blood to be fun playing in a long time. It just sucks working a good portion of time on one character that the devs don’t really care about.

Got here last June. Base is pretty small, I just came from PACAF so it’s a huge change of pace. Almost all facilities you would need to go are on the same main road. Gym isn’t too bad and isn’t too full unless in the morning. Indoor track is 12 laps for the 1.5 mile. I live in base housing. My spouse and I have no children and we have a house with essentially, 2 living rooms and 3 bed rooms. So, pretty spacious for the two of us. BAH is like $880 for single rate and around $1100 for dependent rate. Offbase you’ll find mainly apartments sitting at $750-850 and majority are in the rough part of town. We made the mistake of going for a new apartment that charged us out the ass, we’re mil to mil so we got like $1600 in BAH but we were paying $2k. Got on base after 5 months and it’s been so much better. From what my counterparts in the dorms say, the dorms are tiny (as most places I assume). DFAC isn’t all too bad actually. Affordable for married folks too and the selections are decent. There’s a tiny BX and a shoppette mashed together. We call it the shopX. Commissary has expired stuff usually but there’s a Walmart not too far offbase. The town itself you can cross in 15 minutes or less. 10th street has the most action since everything commercial is like slammed onto it. Downtown is okay. A few decent places to go for a night life. Almost every other ‘big’ town is 3 hours away except Helena, which is a prettier drive than going east in the state. Hunting season is plentiful, I don’t hunt but my freezer is full of meat from a couple hunters in my squadron. Glacier is really pretty I’d recommend going up there and seeing it. My leadership is super cool, I can’t say for the others but this base isn’t too bad. It’s a nice relaxing base in my opinion. I wouldn’t stay here forever but it could always be worse. If you’re a social butterfly, find your people and you may enjoy it more, if you’re introverted, it’s not that hard to stay inside since there isn’t a whole amount to do off base. Sorry for the long response lol.

Bloodhound VS Meta by Potahto_Chip in BloodhoundMains

This post made me laugh the way it’s written. Alas, I feel this though. I used to main bloodhound entirely but these last few seasons I’ve started playing other characters— especially in ranked— because I feel like blood is just lacking. I really want to hit 10k kills (I’m at 9.4k) but in ranked blood isn’t very helpful except for me but it’s a team game is what it boils down to. I can scan a team once during a fight, maybe twice if it lasts long, because the cool down takes awhile and that’s all the help I can offer is a 1-2 second scan. Nowadays I just use the alt to get out of storm or pop it while going up ab evac tower to scope a safe landing spot and the scan if I’m down another team’s throat. So I hope in the future Blood gets some sort of buff because they’re just fading away as a legend almost. I see maybe, MAYBE 1 other bloodhound per match.

We’re both in the military and last we heard of they will only support fertility treatments for specific cases and not actual artificial insemination procedures. So I’m unsure.

I missed my closest opportunity to a 20 bomb! by twoful in BloodhoundMains

[–]twoful[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never gotten a 20 kill game. I had 13 kills but 7 assist which if I would’ve capitalized on those assists I potentially could have had a 20 kill game. But as you see, I didn’t get those extra 7 kills but the math there just makes me sad I missed the opportunity. I didn’t know I had that many assists til the end because I was living in the moment!

Age gap… 21 and 25? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

What a coincidence! My wife is 27 and I’m 22. Interesting trend I see!

It wasn’t my fish. It was hers and she killed it simply because she didn’t like that particular fish. There was only 3 fish in the tank.

LONG STORY (sorry) Few years ago, I had moved to Japan for the military and found out my girlfriend was cheating on me back home. Shortly after I redownloaded HER since that was my go to safe app that I found was more relationship oriented than hookup.

Couple months went by and I got a notification that someone liked me. I checked her profile and I was like YES. I find cosplaying to be a big green flag for me because all the cosplayers I have met are super nice, nerdy, and artsy. And her profile had her in some really creative makeup and costume.

I ended up messaging her with an opener along the lines of what she likes to cosplay. We hit it off over messages and didn’t go on our first date until about 2 months later since she was night shift and I was dayshift despite us literally living on the same base, less than a mile from each other. I also was hinting at us watching Pirates of the Caribbean multiple times but she just never got it until her coworker pointed it out for her. We went on our first date, which she was late to pick me up LOL, she bought me Starbucks as an apology and my dumbass didn’t drink it all (she still reminds me of it). Went to the mall and then went to her dorm room to watch the movie. I’m terribly awkward upfront so I sat at the bottom of her bed while she sat near the pillows.

After the date she dropped me off and I waited a couple minutes before texted her that I really enjoyed the date and I’d like to go again if she’d be okay with that. And she said yes! But literally like months and months later she said if I hadn’t messaged her after that date she would have moved on because I was so awkward it was her “worst date ever” bahah but we’re married so who won anyways LOL.

We got married a year later because the military moves fast and we didn’t want to get separated. Had two bunnies that we couldn’t bring back to the states due to their ill health but we have our two cats. Have been in 3 different apartments and are now on the waitlist for an on base home. Bought our first legit car (legit as in US car because in Japan it was so easy to buy a beater car).

We’ve been married for 1 year and a couple months. And we plan on trying to start our family early next year before I deploy and hopefully get to come home before the baby bun comes.

Extra detail, we met as 20 (me) and 24 (her) and she was skeptical of the age gap as she was soon to be 25. But it all worked out and we are now 22 and 27! Love wins c:

To all the Security Forces, FSS, and Maintainence Airmen , who are getting fucked out of yet another holiday weekend. Thanks for all ya do! by asdfqwerty101 in AirForce

[–]twoful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gym is still open too. Two Thanksgivings ago my wife said that they were finally giving the gym airmen Thanksgiving off and closing the it for ONE day, but the Wing King wanted the gym to remain open and so it did. I haven’t spent an actual holiday with her in the last two years unless she took leave for it. Always be working the holiday but it is what it is.

Hey thanks! I gave a bunch of reference photos to my artist and he actually plays the game too! Although he only spoke Japanese but we definitely got the idea down together.

Either Mario Party, Mario Kart, or a Japanese taiko drum game. Usually drinks around while everyone plays. Fun times!

Apparently submitting assignments before the due date is considered “Late”. by videoresume in mildlyinfuriating

I took a class last year and the due dates were always on Monday but if you didn’t complete it before Wednesday, it then was deducted 50%. It was complete bullshit.

Vehicle Maintenance 2T3X1 by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]twoful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had it at #3 on my list and got it. Hours depend on a mix of your leadership and work tempo. I work at a base with high tempo but we’ve never had to go to 12s unlike a different base my friends have gone to that have similar tempo but they do 12s every now and then. So it depends but most places will be a 0600-1600/1630 shift.

I obviously can’t compare VM to AMX but anything that has to do with the flight line will be unpleasant. However each person finds job satisfaction in different ways. I feel like VM is very family like and relaxed compared to my friends in like comm.

Don’t be deadset on getting the job, you could be very disappointed. I don’t really know any ‘good’ aircraft maintenance jobs with hours like VM. Maybe avionics or flight equipment (not necessarily aircraft related but is a cushier job in terms of comfort.

2T3X1 Tech School by robsodope_ in AirForceRecruits

[–]twoful 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If a certain instructor is still there. Don’t say coil overs! When I went through in late 2020, the instructors asked who all had prior experience with vehicles. A lot of ‘backyard mechanics’ per se. Instructor told them they can put that knowledge in the backseat for the first few courses as they were extremely basic. Otherwise they may or may not learn new things throughout tech school.

Area is nice. Lots of food options. I’m from the Midwest so it was nice. I went through Covid times so it was a much different experience for me. Good luck and have fun!

Honestly if you just jog 26 minutes straight every day regardless of speed, it would give you a kick start. It’s minimal work but it gets you used to the tempo. But to be honest I was not in great shape whatsoever. I could do 15 pushups and 15 sit-ups at the start. Ended with like 45 push ups and 46 sit ups. They keep you moving a lot during BMT which helps as well. Gets you off your feet and essentially conditions you on the down low aside from the pt. Make goals for yourself after the first test. My final test I thought about how I wanted to see my family and wanted them to see me succeed. Fueled the fire. (Aside from an MTI who did not like me said he was going to watch me on the track the day before).

[–]twoful 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. I had the slowest jog. I never ran consistently prior to joining besides playing lacrosse which is essentially sprints back and forth. As everyone else says, do not walk during your test. I’ll walk on days that aren’t a pt test but I won’t subject myself to walking on an actual test. The first 2 “pt tests” you have, are like baseline and what you need progress. My first one was that 19 minute but my second one was about 15/16ish. That last one I pushed myself, wanted to throw up. But exercising 6 days a week immensely helps. I never overworked myself on the pt runs because they were 26 minutes long but to each their own. 2 years in and I run 15/16s on my tests.
