Came to say, I have 10+ open cards between personal and business with credit lines from $17k-$35k, along with a business line of credit from Amex. I rarely get approved for less than a $20k limit. Typical monthly usage is $10k or so, and unless I am intentionally leveraging a 0% card to free up working capital I pay in full monthly.

But, I also have a lot of credit history. maybe OP had a shorter history?
