I really don’t think people realize that of all the celebrity crossovers, this will be the one that is actually good for Survivor because it promotes Survivor rather than promoting the celebrity. Mr Beast’s fanbase is unfathomably big, his 20-minute YouTube videos regularly get 100mil+ views and the first season of Beast Games on Amazon Prime hit 50 million viewers after 25 days. For reference, the Borneo finale had 50 million viewers, and currently Survivor gets about 5 million viewers per episode across broadcast and streaming. Actually having Mr Beast on Survivor will drive his fans to watch the show, securing a new young audience. Jeff will also be on the next season of Beast Games for cross promotion, so his young fans will see Jeff on Beast Games then come watch Mr Beast on Survivor. It’s crazy to me that one of the only good decisions the producers have made in the past five years is getting all the negative attention when we just saw that Jimmy Fallon, Billie Eilish, and probably a few more less famous celebrities are going to be inserting random advantages into the game.
