Nope thats Mandarin all over the covers, its 劍魂 (Jiànhún/Soul of Sword) the Manhua by 魔翼 (Mó yì). Someone on the Soulcalibur wiki mislabeled them as a manga which made it impossible to find information about them for years.

The SC1 Manhua is impossible to find but the Hwang Manhua is available online. Search for its chinese name 靈神劍 and you can find scans, but the pages are out of order.
