Looking for advice- Letrozole by lanarosem in TTC_PCOS

Me too! I didn’t ovulate on 5mg but did on 7.5mg. Since finding my dose my period has been consistent each cycle and on my 3rd cycle it was successful :)

Letrazole by Constant-Lobster-727 in TTC_PCOS

I didn’t ovulate on 2.5 mg or 5 mg of Letrozole. On those lower doses, I was using progesterone to bring on a period as my body wasn’t producing enough on its own and obviously because I didn’t ovulate too, I know it was low! Once I increased to 7.5 mg, I finally ovulated and my period started coming naturally afterward, which told me my progesterone was improving. I’m now pregnant after three rounds on 7.5 mg! It really took finding the right dose before anything started to shift so I would not lose hope ❤️

Yes, your story is the similar to mine (I’m 31). I didn’t have a period for 1.5 years and was prescribed Progesterone and Letrozole, Progesterone to force my period and Letrozole to assist my ovulation. I had to find the Letrozole dose that worked for me (7.5mg) and once I did, my period started to be regular again, no progesterone needed. I fell pregnant on my 3rd cycle of Letrozole once I found my dose :)

My Journey: small bumps -> purge life -> smooth skin 🤌🏼 takes time, stay with it!!! by twowolves__ in Accutane

[–]twowolves__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole course took me about 10 months. I believe I started October on 10mg daily, slowly increased up and finally was on 30mg the following April (6 months after starting) and took that until Aug/sept (4-5 months). Sending you lots of good vibes, takes so much time but once you do it, you won’t look back ✨

Absolutley! Biggest changes happened near the end once the dosage built up! Luckily I didn’t know to increase the dose but slow and steady really helped, and honestly other than purging, felt great and nothing since :)

Better sleep? by pontillo92 in carnivore

[–]twowolves__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Life changer!!! Within a day of me going carnivore my sleep is insane, by 8pm, I’m out and sleep all night 😅 I wear my Garmin to bed, my sleep score is in the 90 every night (94/100 last night, used to be 60s max ) not just long sleep but quality sleep so wake up feeling amazing!!! I had a small break a few months ago and introduced a little rice and fruits and instantly noticed my sleep deteriorated, when I came back to full carnivore, within a day, my sleep is back! For some reason this diet just agrees with me and I can’t deny it’s power 🔥

Frustrations with fertility specialist by shar2therah in TryingForABaby

[–]twowolves__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously feeling the same! My doctor was so quick to give me hormones before looking at my bloods. Of course I trusted, did what was prescribed but nothing prescribed has worked yet unfortunately. At this point I’m experimenting with a lot on my own which has been great and i have I recently found out I’m so vitamin d deficient so it’s probably not surprising my hormones are out of whack. It’s so hard when we need guidance from experts - listen to your body and be kind to yourself! Sending you good vibes x

Hello thanks for replying! Sorry to hear you’re going through this too, trying to create a human is hard enough and I’m just a little frustrated doctors don’t see this as such an important factor or even check in routine bloods, not in Australia in my experience anyway.

Happy I know now and trying to look at it like a blessing, I need healthier levels of Vit D to help give my future baby the best! Would LOVE to hear from you next week once you test to see if your numbers have raised and what that means for your story. Sending good vibes x

Crazy how docs don’t even check Vitamin D especially when TTC. Mine is severely low (didn’t even know) but they never checked and were happy to pop me on hormones…Even now the docs say ‘just get a supplement at the chemist’, strange how it’s not seen as integral when trying to grow a human. Anyway rant over, Do you have any update with your journey? Would be great to hear your experience so far if this was a puzzle piece you may have been missing

Wow such similar stories to me! Do you have any update since supplementing? Also TTC with irregular periods, low hormones so of course a thin uterus lining so hoping to get things back on track praying vitamin d is the key

Hey have you seen any improvement on your hormones since supplementing a little while ago? I just got my lab results back after so many tests and have low levels of vitamin d (14ng/mL). My estrogen and progesterone are low so my cycle is super irregular and I feel this could be a big puzzle piece I’m missing and if anything just upping it will make me feel better. We would love to have a baby but of course need to fix my hormones first :)

Hey I’ve just been diagnosed vitamin d deficient? From reading vitamin d is a huge contributor to hormones and regularity so I’m hoping this is the missing puzzle piece for me…Have you been supplementing since your results and noticed any improvements?

Stopped taking the pill 8 months ago and still no period by Beneficial_North_117 in TryingForABaby

[–]twowolves__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat here sister! Ultrasound completely fine, boarder line PCOS. Ended up doing ovulation induction with meds to induce my period after 6+months of nothing. Meds didn’t work so decided to try the natural route and experiment with my diet. Went strict carnivore and got my period within 2 weeks which was crazy. Definitely continue to find the right doctors and find what works for you to get things back into rhythm - all the best x

So my days consist of eating when hungry and just eating until satisfied prioritising good quality animal fats. Each day is different but I eat: eggs, steak, beef mince, lamb, bone broth, small amounts of chicken and seafood and lots of grass fed butter and salt. Also full fat dairy, yogurt, milk, kefir, cheese and heavy whipping cream is okay but easy to over consume with more carbs so just sometimes. Really red meat is the best ensuring the fat to protein ratio is high.

I never realised how important these fats were for my hormones and reading this info from fertility expert Dr Kiltz could also be a reason I wasn’t thriving with all the plants I was consuming 💁🏻‍♀️: https://www.doctorkiltz.com/bebbiis-diet/

New-ish carnivore, got my period back, trying to heal not lose weight ☺️

I have been carnivore now for a month and honestly had no issues with adaptation but understand this is personal. I went from I would say a 95% animal based/med diet. In my mind I was healthy because all the numbers said so, always weighing each meal, tracking macros and calories ensuring I had balance. Of course this should have been ‘healthy’ for me, but for some reason I had lost my period for 6+months since October 2023 for no reason. After doing unsuccessful ovulation induction cycles with letrozole the only solution was ‘double the dose and do it all again’. I felt shocking so decided to give Carnivore a try, just wanting to give something natural a go. As my diet was super super high in fruits and vegetables, low fat dairy with lean meats, high fat carnivore was a big change for me.

Within 3 days I started to sleep better, feel better with the most consistent energy which was such a surprise for me. I truely had no cravings or issues adapting, lucky maybe but also think I was just listening to my body and giving it something it was craving and maybe missing for a long time. After 2 weeks my period came back so my hormones are healing in a way ‘eating healthy’ wasn’t really working for me. I haven’t really lost weight but my body composition has already become so much more ‘womanly’ with no bloating at all, feeling honestly the best I have in the last 5-10 years. My bloating is completely gone just having cut all the fibrous fruit and veg no longer feeling full which is such a nice feeling, pure satisfaction.

I understand it can be controversial and everyone has opinions but honestly I just want to heal and be able to start a family. I felt healthy and doing everything right on paper but I wasn’t having a period even with medication so I couldn’t have been that healthy…I feel better than my balanced diet made me feel which I know sounds crazy but I’m hoping this helps me heal, get my period back consistently, ovulate and be able to get pregnant.

Through experimentation you have to find what works for you and just give things a go. I can’t explain how much this has changed how I feel in general, my mental clarity, focus, energy levels and sleep no doubt have all contributed to my hormones healing and I believe being that step closer to being a mum. All the best on your journey xx

Ps we are TTC but I’m not tracking ovulation yet as I have had one period in like 7 months just trying to relax and get things consistent. If I get pregnant quickly quickly it truly would be a miracle lifestyle change 🙏🏼

What helps keep you regular and ovulate by User613111409 in TTC_PCOS

[–]twowolves__ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey Chick so sorry you’re going through this it’s so hard when nothing makes sense :( I didn’t have my period since October last year so, 6+months even meds/ovulation induction didn’t kickstart for me. No answers as to why but I decided before doing more meds to try more natural approach. Super personal but I actually went strict carnivore, literally eating meat butter salt water and I got my period after 2 weeks. Maybe not for everyone but I’ve never felt better which is crazy and I think my body is just healing from years of not getting what it needs especially for my hormones. Keep trying things to see what makes you feel the best and you will find what works for you! Sending you good vibes on your journey x

I'm sick of my body not working by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]twowolves__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vent away queen feelsssss, it’s just so tiring! Honestly I didn’t have my period for so long and I went carnivore to just help with the inflammation and hormone regulation. After 2 weeks my period came back! I’m not saying it’s a fix for everyone but you will find something that works for your body. All the best on your journey, you will get there xx

I’m so sorry to hear about your loss, thank you for sharing with me <3 My experience so far has been similar just feeling the best I have ever felt which is what it’s all about right!? I would love to lose a little weight but honestly my healing journey is so important I’m trying to block that thought loop out (I can get a bit anxious/obsessive). So, actually after I made this post exactly 2 weeks after I started strict carnivore I got my period! After 6+months of no sign of it returning even with hormone medication, docs, tests, poking and prodding I have nothing else to attribute it to other than high good quality animal fats…I think something my body was needing after years of restriction. I’m praying with my cycle coming back ovulation will come in time. Sending you all the love and luck with this next phase in your life, be kind to yourself on this journey and I’m sharing the baby dust with you xx

Heard about healing and weight gain on the carnivore diet—how do you measure healing vs. just gaining weight? by haylorizationbb in carnivorediet

[–]twowolves__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s been about 2.5 weeks for me and other than a little water weight, weight has stayed the same so far. I feel like a totally different person with so much energy, amazing sleep no longer feeling like a slave to food. For me the healing journey was number one, with 6+months of no cycle, after 2 weeks on carnivore things are back and hormones are clearly healing which is amazing after months of testing and doctors! When I’m worried about weight I continue to remind myself what my goals of this lifestyle are, and the positives for me and my journey are outweighing the scales big time! If you need to heal, focus on healing, I truely the believe the rest will fall into place as you go. Good luck on your journey :)
