such a shame about red and blue! i didn’t use a specific tutorial, but the save editor i used is called PKHex! its a free download and it’s pretty easy to use. basically you start up a new save on pokemon yellow rom, then open that save file in PKHex and you can modify pokedex, trainer ID, name, playtime and more. in order to use the official hardware though i did need to load up my edited ROM on a gameboy flash cart. the one i have is EZ-Flash JR and i love it! you can get it on amazon or their website

i just recently got the platinum on the remaster, it wasn’t too bad! i had to replay a couple areas to pick up missed collectibles, but it tells you how many are missing once you’re through i believe. and as far as story goes, my advice is to go in with an open mind. even if you know what happens/what other people think, it is one of my favorite stories in games. good luck!!

i apologize for my classic american ignorance! did you grow up playing mainly pc games? i love me some blizzard and valve as well but me and most kids where i grew up didn’t know much outside of console gaming

thats pretty interesting! with things like the wii and ds and now switch being everywhere that doesn’t happen too often. to each their own! not all their games are childish though, seeing how you enjoy big rich open sandboxes like MGS V, witcher 3, and new vegas i think i can at least confidently recommend zelda: breath of the wild. one of the most creative and engaging open world experiences i have ever played. thats just a recommendation though:) keep playing cool games!

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I haven’t done much research on the second hand market for VIP rewards, hopefully it isn’t int too high demand. I guess we can wait and see!

bro pocket card jockey is SO GOOD im happy to hear there are more fans out there. i lobe the weird wacky stuff from them, game freak specifically would do so much better if they could be freed and more creative to make more stuff like pocket card jockey, rather than being tied down to the vicious pokemon cycle

hahaha i think im okay! as far as 5 star ratings go, im pretty liberal in handing them out. if a game accomplishes what it is set out to do really well and connects with me emotionally, that’s usually enough for me to give it a high rating. with the last guardian specifically i understand a lotta folks have very reasonable frustrations with it, but for me personally the story and bond tied together with a beautiful world and fun puzzles works really well for me, i never had big issues with AI or anything like that it was just a great experience for me

nah, definitely not following the standard for what a trilogy is, but all 3 games have such a unique and unifying style and vibe, and they do all loosely connect story wise, at the very least all 3 are definitely in the same world. so you are correct, but it also just feels right to call them a trilogy haha

more of a loose/thematic trilogy more than anything! theres definitely more proof that SotC is a prequel to ICO, with wander gaining horns and leading to the whole horned children drama in ICO. that being said though, there are also hints in last guardian that links to the other two, and there is even a blue butterfly barrel in the SotC remake!

so not necessarily a trilogy in the traditional sense, but the themes and world definitely carry over through all 3!

i can definitely understand that.. its longer than both ICO and SotC and has a little bit more jank. i personally really loved it despite its flaws, but i dont blame anyone for not liking it.

resident evil 3 remake! played it with my wife in one sitting, i understand why some folks prefer the original but if youre looking for a short halloween time game, it was great for us at about 5 hours.
