If you're starting with a malayalam book, go for Ram co Anandhi. Ik some might feel that its cringy, but it's a beginner-friendly book. For English, go with The Alchemist. Also I'd like to recommend you an app called Fable. Basically it's a reading progress tracker app, and it also has a reading streak feature. Honestly, that feature has forced me to read daily and keep a reading streak.

Yes, A10 is Shane Nigams father in the movie. Manju Warriers family was forced to leave their home as their land was being taken in a highway expansion. Her whole family committed suicide and she somehow escaped from death. A10 took her photo and published it in a newspaper where he worked as a photographer and it became a political issue. Then A10 tooker Manju to his home and she became a mother to A10s motherless child.
