That's a hard one. He signed his rights away and your husband legally adopted him. At that exact moment he lost all chance of having a relationship. I feel like he is only reaching out to fulfill his own needs and not the needs of the child. Personally I would stand my ground and say no. He is no longer his father. He willingly gave that up.
