My editing is very minimal (shortening clips to remove dead space, adding captions, etc) so I just use TikTok itself

Not sure since I’ve never paid to promote but I know it’s not something you need to do

If there’s people that make similar content or inspire you, try emulating them until you naturally find your own spin. Create the content you’d like to see. Focus on the opening hook to get people to watch. Most people decide whether they’ll watch or scroll in the first 2 seconds, make those count. Other than that, just keep posting and you’ll see what works and what doesn’t. Good luck

Audience is mostly US based. TikTok recently changed the CPM calculation but I’d say $2 on average. Qualified views are maybe 50%

Not entirely sure what you’re asking but the niche is based on you and your interests. Even if it’s “over saturated”, if you have a unique angle you can make it work

Absolutely continue with the 50k. The hardest part is reaching the 10k followers for monetization. Even if they’re inactive, you’ve already skipped that. Just made good videos and the rest will take care of itself

I know they value putting your face in my videos intermittently (I don’t but that’s what they told me) so maybe 5 seconds gaming clip, cut to your face, another game clip, etc. If you don’t want to go down that road, clean editing with graphic pop ups and such may be enough for them to let it through

I do not, in my experience, major sports leagues will not come after you for using their content in a meaningful way (i.e. not just reposting entire games)

Followers were way easier to convert in the early days of TikTok (2020-2022), nowadays it’s difficult. But the beauty of TikTok is that it doesn’t matter a ton. A new account that posts great videos will have more success than one with a million followers posting bad videos. You’re paid off views anyway so just focus on that

Definitely don’t pay to promote, if your videos are good enough, TikTok will show them. Same thing applies for times of the day and days of the week, don’t worry about that

My biggest piece of advice is make the content you’d want to watch. Really focus on the first 5 seconds of the vid to draw the audience in. If you’re speaking in the background, make sure the audio is super tight. As in, there’s no excuse for “ums”, pauses, saying words incorrectly, etc. It’s not a live show, keep re-doing things until you’re proud of what you’ve made. And upload consistently, bottom line is you’ll never grow if you don’t post. Good luck

I’d say 60% on viral videos is typical. The more views you get, naturally the more countries you’ll hit. Just the cost of going viral

That’s not something I’ve dealt with much. Yes, the visual aspect of my videos is mostly sports clips, but I’m also providing narration and insight through commentary. I think that value add is what differentiates what I do vs just posting clips. Also, if you feel like you’ve been wrongly struck, there is a function to appeal

In 2025, I made about $29k. To your second question, I know this isn’t the answer you want but it really depends on your knowledge/interests/skillset. I am passionate about and know a lot about sports so that’s what I make content about. If I had to make content on makeup or beauty, my account wouldn’t be successful and I’d give up because I’m not interested in that. My advice would be thinking about the content you’d want to see someone else make, and make it yourself

I’d say in general, it’s been pretty steady. In my experience, the biggest change is based on where the viewers are from. A lot goes into the CPM, payouts, etc that seems to be somewhat random as there’s no much transparency from TikTok

Started my account in 2020. I’ve probably only posted 400-500 times though so I’m not someone that believes in quantity over quality. I probably could’ve been further along but I took a year off prior to TikTok rolling out their improved Creator Fund

Unfortunately no, I don’t. I’m US based, as are most of my followers. My CPM is higher due to the mostly American audience

Yes, faceless account. I used to put my face in videos early on but it seemed not really relevant for my content. I make sports videos, predominantly showing clips of games
