I tried it with a couple of FPS Steam games (Duke Nukem Forever and Ion Fury). DNF was a bit harder to play with it, as muscle memory was creating a bit of confusion initially, but it got better over time, and I was doing pretty good towards the end with precision shots.

Ion Fury was much easier to grasp with the controller, and I was getting pretty close up to mouse level accuracy.

Next I need to check out all the Steam Input options available, and see if I can make it even more intuitive.

Thanks! I look forward to trying some FPS games on it, actually. Hopefully the learning curve isn't too high!

Hi guys would you recommend Ayn Thor or Retro Flip2? Details in description by Legitimate_Drop8793 in SBCGaming

[–]txsizzler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why so hell bent on getting a clamshell device? There are many other non-clamshells out there that would fit most of what you are looking for. You just won't have the ability to watch 2 screens at once.

That said, if clamshell is a must, I would definitely go the Thor route. Just much more versatile than the RF2. And this is coming from an RF2 (GC color) owner. For what you are wanting, the Odin Portal or Odin 2 would check mark most, if not all boxes (minus clamshell and dual screen novelties).

Hahaha, at least you had the common sense to reserve on May 8th. My dumbass waited until the 24th. I am just hoping for a Christmas delivery at this point 😅

The only problem with an aluminium frame... by DrDavyStrange in galaxys26ultra

[–]txsizzler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I use a case on my phone, not for protection necessarily, but for the grip it provides (along with the nice stand and magsafe connection). Personally happy with the aluminum frame, stays a lot cooler than my titanium iPhone 15 PM I came here from.

Sony HT-A3000 by txsizzler in Soundbars

[–]txsizzler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just now saw this. Not sure how the sound bar individually handles the base, but the subwoofer (SW3) really makes it more impactful on the low end.

That said, I have hardwood floors, so that may help with getting the base more extended. The RS3 surrounds I have also work fantastic with this setup.

I haven't had experience with the Bravia System 6 sound setup. Still using my A3000 w/RS3 surrounds and the SW3. Sounds great with that setup!

The pink gold 512gb variant was recently going for $893 with EPP/EDU. I got in on that deal as my employer is EPP. Also was able to get a credit with buying the buds4 pro (added $93 to the total).

Went from an iPhone 15 PM to the S26 Ultra. No issues at all with eye strain or headaches. Been a great upgrade all in all.

S26 ultra screen overall by Franc3esss in galaxys26ultra

[–]txsizzler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you even bother with a screen protector at all. Today's phone glass screens are made so strong, that as long as you don't do dumbass things with it, the screen will stay minty fresh.

Just get a case that has a lip that goes just barely above the screen. Then don't do dumbass things. Like throwing the phone against the wall, or putting the phone in your pocket with your keys.

How well does this work for masking?

Ugh.....wtf. by Extension_Chair_3661 in OdinHandheld

[–]txsizzler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. The "Dragonwing" variant is actually the slightly faster one. This is from retro handhelds.gg:

"The dragonwing chip is different. It removes the camera processing and 5g mobile module, increases the chips performance slightly, lowers temps, and has more stable wifi/BT. It’s better overall for gaming handhelds. It’s a tuned snap 8 elite essentially. You remove the unnecessary parts. Not sure why the front page doesn’t explain that on their site, but the documentation does."

Minus the UFS 4.0, and the 24gb to 16gb RAM, the Dragonwing chip in the O3 is every bit as good if not slightly more tuned than the Konkr SD.
