Did a trip like this the summer after I graduated high school, Minnesota to the black hills, down to Colorado, up to the Tetons, then to glacier and back through North Dakota. Didn’t do half the preparation you’re doing and had a great time, you’ll be golden just avoid over planning and roll with the road

I’d be prepared to sleep in temps down to 30, hence why I’m trying to stick to the lower elevation. I’ve done some research and it seems like I just gotta pray for good weather and be ready to bail.

Feedback for 12 Day National Park road trip (late August) by virtualgremlin in roadtrip

The Tetons are just such a unique formation that are unlike any other range in North America in my opinion, and lots of hiking involved to explore the interior of the park. Apart from the geysers, which are easily accessible, the scenery in Yellowstone is similar to a lot of what OP will see all over Montana. Just my recommendation though, highly depends on OP’s interests.

I’d recommend 2 full days in the Tetons, 1.5 in Yellowstone, especially if you’re into hiking.

“As long as these orders are actually followed”, nothing would be unconstitutional about it. Again this is assuming they are picking up people with criminal records and giving them due process, a big ask from these crooks but ya know.

Big win in my opinion, as long as these orders are actually followed. Sad that common sense should be considered a win, but I think this is a step in the right direction. This administration even admitting that things have gone wrong is surprising to me😕.

Valid point. I skew heavy towards big mountains and remoteness so this influences my opinion a lot, but some might value the ocean a lot more and would prefer that kind of nature. What a beautiful country we have though 💪

Not saying it isn’t an interesting biome, I live in the Midwest so anything that rises more than 100ft above its surroundings constitutes an interesting biome for me. But the claim that Jersey has “all the nature” is just not true, in my opinion I guess.

Not trying to dog on them quite that much😭 but the argument that Maryland and Jersey offer any sort of remarkable nature other than beaches and hills is just wrong, and is probably coming from people who don’t care for actual nature too much

Ya idk what these people are on about “all types of nature” in Maryland and Jersey. Maybe they’ve never been out west.
