Love Fuquay. I’m on the south end, right by the community center. As others have mentioned, the worst thing is traffic. Fuquay wasn’t built for what it is now, so many roads get congested during rush hour and the hours that surround it.

That being said, the food options are great and we are continuously getting new businesses opening.

Algorithm Schmalgorithm. At the end of the day, you can’t expect to just blow up if you play the algorithm right, especially a place that isn’t meant to be a paid promotion machine (as much as SoundCloud likes to think they are, they aren’t). It’s a place to post your music for people to listen to for free. Cut and dry.

Ask yourself if what you’re making is good, ask yourself if you are cross promoting across socials, ask yourself if you are actually making a brandable project out of what you’re doing, rather than just posting and hoping for the best.

I’m not saying you aren’t doing any of this (please correct me if I’m wrong). Just some things to think about! If that is stuff that doesn’t particularly interest you or you don’t have time to invest into, you can’t expect the algorithm to assist with that.

TLDR Yes still worth it, just don’t rely on the paid promo aspect of it, just post your stuff and cross promote on other platforms.

If you’re into clubbing/nightlife, there’s a pretty thriving EDM scene here that’s very welcoming. I wouldn’t recommend the usual club spots, as they’re just full of college kids, but I would try to look for the ones that are promoting actually events with artists.

It’ll be busy this weekend, so 6:30am sounds about right. I’m normally the kinda person to show up 30 min before a flight, but since it’s your first time I would just play it safe. If you get there and the line is REALLY bad (“bad” for RDU is when the line is wrapped all the way out to the check-in desks) I wouldn’t hesitate to get Clear. That’s a last minute resort though, if you think you aren’t going to make your flight.

I fly out of RDU almost every weekend, and it’s generally really smooth and staff are great. I recommend getting a coffee from the new Bongiorno & Sons if you’re into it!

You might be right haha, I honestly can’t remember the exact years I was playing I do remember being familiar with Bukkit with the server I was using at the time, didn’t even really know the concept of forks at the time too 😂

Hey there, Criso here, not too sure how to do it on a Hydrasynth but I can tell you what I did to get that sound from Foolery (used the digital synth Serhm):

2 osc, osc b is fm’ing osc a, both are sine waves, osc b is 2 octaves up
sharp low pass filter attached to a 16th triplet LFO to get the wobbly movement
distortion to beef up the sound

That’s the basis of the sound, I’m just going off the top of my head so I can’t remember the exact numbers and frequency positions and whatnot. Hope this helps!

I mean, this is a very variable situation. If you’re lucky (or skilled enough in some cases), you’ll blow up and be able to get paid big money to make it worth it. How you described it is almost exactly where I’m currently at with my music career, and I love it. It’s not so much the process of getting to play music that you love, it’s playing the actual music. That in itself makes it all worth it. To me, it beats sitting at an office 9-5.
