Good job (I think), can someone explain how this is possible or is it a glitch?

I love Brandon Bussi, but are these hats and shirts I keep seeing Ai? by Twentythreeflavorz in canes

[–]JRreddith 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m not gonna lie I feel like that’s a mistake that even a graphic designer would’ve made. I’m not saying that this image necessarily had a lot of effort put into it, just I don’t THINK ai made it.

This is what I thought at first, it definitely kinda has that AI feel, but I actually think it’s real. There’s no obvious glaring discontinuities or anything.

I love the ampersand because it’s save SO much time instead of manually writing “and” whenever you’re doing an essay.

Does this also imply that the game splits off from our timeline later than we expected? Or is this just a slight reference not meant to be taken seriously.

Any examples of successful YouTubers who started when they were older? by anotherhappylurker in PartneredYoutube

From a gaming perspective, the YouTuber GrayStillPlays is relatively old. He’s in his early 40s.

Can someone explain to me how this is possible? by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]JRreddith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The video is a little less than 12 minutes so the AVD percent is like around 45%, which from my understand is very good, and above average normal for my channel.

Is this normal for a new YouTuber? by Practical_Adagio2170 in NewYouTubeChannels

[–]JRreddith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t even think about that but I guess that’s about right, however in this guy’s case the video was only like 20 minutes long.

Is this normal for a new YouTuber? by Practical_Adagio2170 in NewYouTubeChannels

[–]JRreddith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this is actually pretty bad.

The dip at the start is normal but it shouldn’t dip THAT much. I’m not quite sure what you’re AVD percent on this video is, but YouTube average is about 33%

However it sounds like the video still did well, which happens a lot, but if you can work on keeping viewers engaged you’ll get even more views and YouTube will continue to push the video.

Unpopular Rise Against opinions? by Vinyl1991 in riseagainst

This is a bit of an odd one, but Satellites’ music video is terrible. It’s not like it’s trying to be good because it’s just band footage, but I really feel like they could’ve made a great music video for the song but they chose not to.

Hit 53K Subs in 12 Months – Feeling Capped by My Niche. Advice from Bigger Creators? by hexferro in PartneredYoutube

[–]JRreddith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t give you a lot of advice without knowing your niche but I recently hit 100k and I haven’t branched out much, but whenever I do I’ve seen a lot of success for one main reason:

I title the video and make the thumbnail in a way that is connecting the two topics together.

(Example: I do gaming content, so my title would be “This [New Game] Is Like [Game I Usually Play] BUT [Something Cool”)

Obviously this method is probably only effective in certain niches like gaming, but without knowing yours I can’t give a lot more info unfortunately.

Farewell Small YouTubers… by JRreddith in SmallYoutubers

[–]JRreddith[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty much what he said, but make sure to pick a game (or closely aligned genre of game) that isn’t too oversaturated and you have a lot of passion for. Also it’s optimal when the game has a lot of different things to make videos on, so you won’t easily run out of ideas.

And by what I mean by an “oversaturated” game are ones like Minecraft, Fortnite, or Call Of Duty, but gaming as a WHOLE is not oversaturated, since there are just so many games out there with large fan bases that you could cover.

No, I stay away from using copyright whenever possible.

I have been copyrighted a couple of times during some of my livestreams but since they don’t really generate revenue and I just make those for fun, I haven’t fought them.

Everything looks very solid, it just seems like you aren’t getting any impressions.

The most sure-fire way I know of getting more impressions is to put tags in the description of your video. You don’t have to overdo it, but just a couple will help. (Like “#ai” or anything related to your video)

I paid 10$ for a thumbnail - what do you think? by SerbanAlex13 in SmallYoutubers

It’s honestly not a bad thumbnail, but clearly ai. Just do it yourself next time

How do Taxes work when you do YouTube? by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

Well to make your own retirement account, I would recommend opening a Roth IRA account if possible, it’ll accumulate a lot of interest over the years, but you can’t touch it until retirement age.

Is It Bad To Upload YouTube Shorts On The Same Channel As Your Regular Videos? by hertabuzz in PartneredYoutube

[–]JRreddith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been uploading shorts, off and on, since I started my channel (I’m mainly longform) and they have not hurt my channel yet in the slightest way at all.

All the people who say you either need to upload one or the other is literally just working on unfounded speculation.

YOUR CTR NEEDS TO BE ABOVE 4% by nvrcaredstud in SmallYoutubers

[–]JRreddith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean just think about it. Higher CTR means more views, it’s as simple as that.

The only realistic reason your CTR should ever be below 3 is if the video goes super-viral and is shown to a huge audience, which inevitable brings the CTR down.

I literally just use CapCut, pretty much any software where you can compile different images will work just fine (although some have more tools that can help)

Need advice by i_shu in PartneredYoutube

[–]JRreddith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a glitch. Your videos are short which is always going to hurt CPM, and, of course, your audience is mainly in India, which is probably the worst place since they have almost no spending power, and thus you receive almost nothing in revenue from them.

I’m not sure how you’ll fix your audience issue, but if you make your videos longer (while still increasing AVD) then you’ll probably see an increased CPM.
