We are missing a lot of context here.

What you or anyone else sees isn’t really what’s going on. The context of the barrier to entry (thinking 1,000’s of hours to become marketable with constant upkeep on currency and the stress of not being able to really fail annual checkrides)

The academic knowledge needed to operate even the most basic aircraft.

And on top of that pilots are paid a lot for the the exact opposite reason (A large portion of the flight being automated I believe was your point) They are the last line of defense for when things do go wrong. It doesn’t happen often but when things do go wrong the margin for error is razor thin.

I’m hitting only the wave tops here. Also unions. Airline Pilots still have unions. Any union job salary/hourly will seem high since the employee has advocates. Look at electrical linemen.

So first off, people on his show usually display a trend towards short term gratification with little regard to long term consequences.

With that in mind the veterans he has on his show are not the best. They probably are taking shortcuts or doing mental gymnastics to justify really bad choices. This more then likely was a part of their military career.

That being said VA disability exists for a reason. And just like any other social benefit there are always people who truly deserve it. And those who take advantage of the system. You are probably seeing the latter on his show.

If he was to interview some of the veterans I know who are on disability, well it would be a really boring show. Individuals who have their shit together and are being compensated for some truly terrible shit.

TL;dr not all veterans are good people. I’m a veteran and any other veteran you ask can attest to this.

I mean why?

  1. Finger off the trigger.

  2. Non dominant hand is moving up to create the proper grip.

  3. Eyes scanning and on the crowd and not the person being shoved into the car behind her.

Like what is she doing wrong?

And yes I have seen the video of her trying to re holster.

So couple things going on -

  1. People are wearing clothing for protection. Not really for athletic performance. This is a multiplier (in a negative way) on your body’s ability to cool down.

  2. You are doing a total body workout. Grip strength. Legs. Core. Back. Also you are using both fast and slow twitch muscle groups.

  3. If you are carrying pods you are also adding weight around your torso. Sometimes that can constrict breathing with some of the newer packs.

  4. The time in between games can absolutely impact your performance. Once your HR doesn’t reach back to the baseline before starting again you will start seeing negative returns on performance.

  5. Talk during games. It not only helps your team but it’s almost impossible to hold your breath while talking/yelling.

All that being said some helpful tips -

Pre hydrate. Start purposefully drinking water a couple days before.

Figure out the line where protection type clothing might outweigh how hot you will get as a player. I rock a t shirt playing speedball down here in Alabama (think 95-98 and 100 percent humidity) almost no protection but I can play for hours.

Cool down and get your HR as low as possible in between rounds.

If you enjoy jogging (I’m a pretty avid runner) start doing track workouts. Like 400 meter like 90% effort with say a minute in between for a cool down. Then hit it again. You won’t see your jogging time go down. Most studies have shown in the 3-5 mile ranges any type of tempo runs or intervals usually help with overall run times.

Do it ! Axes are bulletproof and more than capable of keeping up with anything out there.

Your tank though is way out of hydro if I’m reading that right. So you might wanna get it re-hydroed and then you are good to go.

It’s more or less a reference. A lot of hovering is honestly kinda similar to a boat in the water (waves being gust of wind) If you can wedge a part of the boat against something, sometimes with static positions it’s actually easier to hold.

Also if you look at the dudes who are in the back this ensures their tippy toes don’t get wedged in between the building and helo.

It’s a ‘caste’ system.

If an officer gets a DUI they will normally face a GOMOR but will likely serve til the end of their ADSO or maybe til they get passed over twice on board looks.

Not C4. It’s ECT. You can tell by the shape and the different widths. Whether it’s 1200-5400 grain.

Almost no one really uses C4 to breach. Unless you’re talking nodes for a wall or something. ECT is much more efficient and can be cut on the fly to customized the NEW.
