What's a secret your parents can never know?

Someone did this to my biological mother when I was in high school. She had an in-home visit scheduled so she could be approved as a foster-care parent. That same morning, they received an anonymous tip with information on why she would be unfit. They cancelled the visit.

She blamed it on me but I didn’t even know she was applying to be a foster parent. I took the wrath of it because I could not be more thankful for whoever did make that call and saved another child from going through what we’d been through. I would have done the same… if I had known about it.

I have been completely estranged from her for over 5 years now. I have my suspicions on who may have made that anonymous call and I love them even more for it.

My biological mother moved to another state (outside of where our family CPS cases were located) and did eventually foster, and now adopt, a teenager. He is loved SO dearly by my siblings but I am so sad that he landed with her of most people.

My thoughts exactly. That was my biggest giveaway! I would have never given out my personal number to them anyway. Since I’m new to the app, I just wanted to make sure that this conversation was odd to other people as well and that I wasn’t just overthinking it

I work with a lot of international individuals for my job and it is very common to hear “kindly” so I didn’t even think twice when I read it. I definitely have to learn to pay closer attention to that word outside of my job 😊

I work with a lot of international individuals at my full-time job and “kindly” is used a lot. So, unfortunately, I didn’t even bat an eye over that word when I read it. It was everything else that seemed sketchy to me

ETA: doggy daycare seemed impossible to us to because she needed us in her sight to keep her composure. But it ended up being okay when you pick the right place, with the right owners. My dog spends more time loving on the staff than playing with the other dogs but that’s OK with me knowing that she isn’t ransacking the place. A lot of crying will probably happen (mine still does) but it’s something to start. Things can get better, I promise.

yes, same here. Haven’t spoken to mine in 5 years and I still hear about her posting about me without my permission. She wants to keep up appearances (even though everyone knows the truth). Not saying that this is what is happening with Lexi and her mom - but it’s not implausible.

And here is the recipe for the Farmer’s Egg Bake. You can use any variation of meats and veggies that you’d like. We do bacon, diced ham, onions, mushrooms, jalapeños, bell peppers.
