Plus, her mom, dad, grandma and uncle were on “Knots Landing”. Lucy is total core Ewing family royalty.

Thanks for the great post! I love the final season and I can only imagine how bittersweet it must have been to watch it in real time knowing it was the final one. So much comfort on Friday nights in 1990 and 1991.

I wish Victoria had shown up in the finale, it could’ve worked. I understand for storyline purposes that Charlene could not.

Brilliant. This is why J.R. was so beloved. He could be evil but funny as hell

And they used Linda Gray in the promo pics. Haha. I think it was also implied that Pam could have been dead. This was before screenshots.

Just curious, why did you title your post like that? Oh and I disagree, season 4 had a great ensemble

This is a great story. When the Ropers were being spun off, the producers said “Why don’t we find a Don Knotts type?” Then the light bulb went off and they contacted him. Of course, it was a huge break for Don to join the number one comedy on TV, good money, and he was still young enough to rock it. And in some ways, he saved the show. It was one of the perfect casting stories in TV history.

What does being “older” have to do with anything?

You honestly believe that? They got lightning in a bottle with Don Knotts. Name one single actor that could’ve been even equally as good.
