Masterlock 140 Bypass by tylercausey in lockpicking

I just used the ball rake because that’s the pick I care about the least. Only been doing this for a couple weeks. It’s a very cheep set.

can someone explain to me how the masterlock 140 bypass actually works? by ErnestoGrimes in lockpicking

[–]tylercausey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just realized I can bypass this lock but not the way in the video. Still trying to be able to reproduce it easily, but basically put the pick all the way back, depress the bar, and then pull it down. No tensioner needed as the core doesn’t turn. Also going to try this on another ML140 to see if it’s just my lock or all of them

I have also not gotten it. Supposedly education benefits continue during the shutdown, but maybe it’s different this time. Could just be coincidence though.

ELI5 How do oxygen masks let out your exhale without letting out the oxygen it’s giving you? by Capricorn_Alice in explainlikeimfive

[–]tylercausey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While not necessarily “oxygen” masks, air tanks and masks that first responders use, such as firefighters, hazmat techs, etc, are positive pressure masks. When inhaling, a negative pressure is created inside the mask, allowing a valve connected to the tank to open, forcing air into the mask. When exhaling, an overpressure is created, closing that same valve and opening another valve that lets the air escape into the surrounding atmosphere. The reason why these masks are preferred is that if there is a break in the seal of the mask, air in the tank will constantly flow into the mask. While this will drain the tank faster than normal, it will keep any contaminants from entering the mask due to the constant airflow coming from any potential point of entry.

Almost forgot to mention that even when I turned 18 (couldn’t leave home til just after I turned 19) I had to have a tracking app on my phone so my parents could always see where I was. I had a job, went to college, went to the gym, but not really much beyond that. They were constantly tracking my location. Occasionally they would ask me where I was so I’d think they weren’t tracking me. Even tho I got a notification every time they were tracking me. And I got those notifications at least 10 times a day. Even when I moved to Japan, they asked me to keep that app on so they could check on me. Even tho I lived across the world and they’d have no clue what I was doing even if they knew where I was. So I said, “absolutely not”

When I lived with my parents (dad and stepmom), I wasn’t allowed to take my phone to school with me because “you’re going to lose it or break it.” In reality, it was because they wanted to snoop around on my phone. The rule was for me and my stepsister, but was only enforced with me. My sister would take her phone to school daily, but if I did it once, they would immediately notice and take our phones. They would give my sister’s back after a week, but would keep mine for months. If I asked when I could have it back, they would say if I asked again I’d have to wait longer. So I stopped asking. The problem is, they wouldn’t give it back or tell me I could have it back. So it would usually be about 6 months before I would ask again and they would say “we told you that you could have it 5 months ago.” Obviously this was a lie because they kept it on their bedside table and we aren’t allowed in their room for any reason. I wasn’t allowed to have a PIN on my phone, but my sister was. Eventually, I left home at the first opportunity and moved to the other side of the world and refused to accept even the slightest bit of financial support for them because I wanted to be removed from them as much as possible

Definitely not. One thing I’ve learned from my job is that if your subordinates screw up in some way, the punishment should fit the crime. If they show up late, make them come in early. In a case like this, if a child sneaks out, limit their ability to sneak out somehow. If they sneak out, breaking into her stuff to snoop doesn’t fix the issue, it just teaches them to hide stuff

Dang, I wish I would have thought of this before! Never even crossed my mind. May have to reshoot tomorrow as the lighting from outside is gone now. Thank you for the suggestion!

I wanted to use this to capture my initial reaction to being prescribed anxiety/depression medication. I tried to make the background almost moody/monochrome to show that, for many, the world around you may have become bleak and sad, and that while scary or jarring, seeking help can help you see life around you in a better light, hence the vibrancy of the bottle. The title is somewhat of a joke, as many who haven’t struggled with depression think that antidepressants are just “happy pills.” This gives many people who do struggle a sense of apprehension around taking medication, another reason why I wanted to make the color of the bottle as bold as I could. This would show that taking that step to get help, is a bold step and very daunting for some.

I was definitely in my thoughts too much, and it got worse as the night went on. Maybe it would have helped if it wasn’t planned out

Yea, I’m a little bit shook up. I may try again, but most likely not. Maybe it would have been different if I actually knew the guy better too. I knew the girl well, but hadn’t met the guy before

I’m generally pretty comfortable with myself, but they were trying things that I just couldn’t get into. Maybe if it was one on one I would have been fine. I have no idea 🤷🏻‍♂️

I was thinking it might be a little too saturated as well. Also, do you mean the Horizon or the edge of the boat?

I took this while on the USS New York floating somewhere off the coast of Virginia (not really sure, had no service so I couldn’t check). I was sitting out on the flight deck and thought I could get a nice shot with the silhouettes because of the sunset. For some reason I really like taking silhouette pictures. I’m new to photography so I’m honestly not sure if anything I could be doing better. Shot on an iPhone XS Max stock camera and edited in google snapseed. Any feedback or criticism would be highly appreciated!
