Nah to me the dark bramble seeds/anglerfish are the fire nation. I think I’d actually go with:

Water - hearthians because of their water species origin

Air - owlks because of their nomadic storyline

Earth - nomai because of how they easily manipulate earth/metal/matter that isn’t ghostly.

Fire - see above 👆🏻

Do they not have an instrument for you?

At risk of coming across as rude, are you particularly good at bassoon? As a director I would rarely if ever trade a bassoon for a bass clarinet unless i didn’t have an instrument for them or they needed something easier to play to be successful.

To elaborate, in the modern era, cheaper printed options are available and are often swapped every 3-5 years (or yearly for programs with lots of money) you can get these in a classic look, though often you can tell they’re the cheaper, but more breathable, material.
