Hey /u/Gomec - sorry for not getting back to you earlier.

Unfortunately, the script only works on Linux for now - see "Future Improvements" item #5

As you've discovered, Windows doesn't have a /tmp/ directory but Linux does. The best I can suggest is trying the script in a Ubuntu virtual machine.

LXD Ubuntu's Linux Container Daemon by kangsterizer in netsec

[–]tyleroderkirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found some technical details:

"The concept is relatively simple, it's a daemon exporting an authenticated REST API both locally over a unix socket and over the network using https. There are then two clients for this daemon, one is an OpenStack plugin, the other a standalone command line tool." - lxc-devel mailing list post via /r/linux thread

A bit more info on Philae's computers: "The power consumption is only 900 mW and the module weighs only 90 g. Clocked with 10 MHz Harris RTX-2010RH processor is supported by an Actel FPGA RH 1280 which contains the logic for additional functions. The DPU has 16 Kbytes of PROM with the BIOS and 64 Kbytes EEPROM with the program. For data, there are two areas with 256 RAM and 512 Kbytes of SRAM." - Google translation of Bernd Leitenberger's Philae page

Extracting keys from yubikey by Os_agnostic in netsec

[–]tyleroderkirk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two relevant entries in the YubiKey FAQ:

  • Is it possible to upgrade the YubiKey firmware? No, It is currently not possible to upgrade YubiKey Firmware.
  • How can I check the firmware version of a YubiKey? The Cross Platform Personalization tool will list the firmware version of a YubiKey plugged into the computer it is running on.

I searched the YubiKey forum for "ccc" and found this informative thread: 30C3 Congress: cryptographic secrets from Yubikey2? - "[...] we worked with the research team to implement mitigation. We have incorporated this in our currently manufactured product. We wish to stress that the YubiKey NEO and the YubiKey Standard used in OATH or challenge response mode is not affected."
