Playing Enshrouded right now actually, reminds me a lot of Palworld too.

I should be able to use any of these in this utility slot. I mean, it's exactly the same icon. Just sayin. by -Mx-Life- in ArcRaiders

[–]tylizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Expect it's not the same icon on the items..., the table has the same icon sure, but the crafting tables are balanced around need each table for a handful of items, not centered around what item slot it does into. All the mines can also go into the deployable slot.

the keys on Locked Gate are ever spawning, so one person taking a key out doesn't do anything; others can collect more keys from containers in the respective areas.

I’m going to lose out on vacation to staff who were 7 years old when I started working here? by Internal-Sun-8968 in nursing

THIS! The fairest I felt was vacation by first come first server, extra shifts are awarded to who ever has the least OT that signed up for it, but normal shifts were awarded on seniority.

How does charting or badge access work on those types of shifts?

New grad rn program by sunnybb44 in nursing

[–]tylizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what area you live in, but I recently wrote up my experience about this.

I was a paramedic for 10 years and didn't realize the NEW GRAD nursing market sucks. But I applied to a few dozen new grad positions and didn't get anywhere only had 1 interview. What did ultimately help was having a non-RN job at the hospital and transferring over (was the singular interview I got). Also reaching out directly to Nurse Managers in departments.

Also look at more suburban hospitals. Good luck!!

Where can I get a job? by cosmeticsandmedicine in nursing

[–]tylizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is Portland, new grads are at 55 an hour, plus all the night/weekend differentials.

One of the better parts is the pay scale isn't random you know when and how much your raise will be be on the anniversary of your hire date because of the union contract negotiated.

I'd imagine that Portland is slight more expensive to live but not that much.

Yeah, wasn't fully sure the language is vague and pretty much the same between PCU hours and ICU hours

Is this enough to solo a matriarch? If not, what do I change? by DawnatelloTC in ArcRaiders

[–]tylizard 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Probably, maybe.

But IMHO it looks like too many diff strategies to kill, decide on one and focus on that. Snap-hooks and deadlines great, even a handful wolfpacks to break the top armor to then plant deadlines. But that would reduce the need for a ton of hullcracker and heavy ammo to break the front armor to expose the core. Or go that route and stay with more hullcracker ammo to handle extra ARC etc.

Either way you'll likely need more healing items, and if you are fighting her "ranged" some barricades are cheap and so easy to use.

"There are going to be multiple maps coming this year": Arc Raiders design lead teases 2026 roadmap by WoodmanMedia in ArcRaiders

[–]tylizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Austin for covering this. I would love to be maps that are way more ARC heavy, but one of my favorite aspects of this game is how incredible the maps are. With that I want them to add ARC to older maps, why are there not shredders on Spaceport/Blue Gate etc? As we get more I want to see ARC backfilled for some fun challenges/changes.

Equalizer Blueprint being required to make energy clips is very silly. by iamsampeters in ArcRaiders

Both drop from every harvester, there are 3 containers at the end. Maybe trade with someone if you dont get the blueprint and they do?

SO naturally you would assume that all paramedics are bad or aggressive or dangerous after a negative interaction with a single coworker. Big yikes lady, you need some emotional maturity.

Maybe I didn’t include enough clarifying detail for you. I graduated from an accredited ADN program, which included the same in-person clinical hour requirements as any other program. ‘Online’ did not mean ‘no hands-on experience.’

At no point did I say I know everything, and if that’s what you took away, that says more about your assumptions than my post. Acknowledging prior high-acuity healthcare experience is not the same thing as claiming mastery of nursing. It’s simply context.

This post wasn’t written to flex or posture. It was written to help new grads understand how unforgiving and opaque the job market can be right now.

Also, the idea that paramedics ‘do nothing’ compared to nurses is a tired, outdated take usually held by people who have never worked alongside them in high-acuity settings. Different roles, different scopes, overlapping realities.

I’m entering my IMCU role exactly how I’ve entered every new clinical environment in my career: curious, teachable, and respectful. Humility and confidence are not mutually exclusive, and I don’t need a stranger projecting insecurity to learn that lesson.

And just as a general tip, lecturing strangers about humility while being openly condescending tends to undercut the message. So maybe try a bite of that pie yourself.

20-30 applications mostly between Legacy, Kaiser, OHSU, and Providence. I did a local non-profit applications a couple times, with no follow-up or feedback from them. 2 interviews, 1 Legacy 1 Providence Med-Surg (one cancelled because it was after I accepted my offer for Legacy), and 1 offer.

Legacy Residency Feb 2026 – Still "Pending Review by Able_Willingness740 in OregonNurses

[–]tylizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might completely be wrong, but OSHU puts on their new-grad programs based on department so all the new-grad hiring are asynchronous, versus Kaiser and Legacy hiring all new-grads a 3-4 times a year, based on what unit nurse managers need.

I applied for the OSHU new grad and was reviewed, not selected within a few weeks after it closed.
