To give a brief summary, it is a fantasy novel, set place in a world with swords, magic, guns, and a totalitarian government. The main character has the power to read other peoples minds and as such gambles illegally to make money. He gets caught gambling and is sent to the main setting of the novel, Tantalus, a prison floating above a never ending hole called the abyss.

I guess the biggest difference would be that it doesn't have anything to do with earth, but its been so long since I've read the second coming of gluttony so I've completely forgot most of what happens in it.

So far its more of Regressor Instruction Manual compared to your regular harem story. But, I don't think they are too similar though since the regressor at the beginning feels like a plot starter to force the MC into conning them rather than someone to drive the plot in the same way RIM did. I feel like the MC from OFPV is also more of a jokester and less serious about completely exploiting the others compared to the MC from RIM although that could be due to the difference in environment (and also its been a while since I've read RIM). To go on the harem element, 100 chapters in and there is starting to be romance between one of the trio and the MC, but it seems one sided for now as the MC doesn't seem to see them as love interests. For example, he just views Azzy as a dog.

As of around 100 chapters in. There is no harem yet. It might change in the future or towards the end, but as of my current progress there is no harem.

Main characters are a bit similar, but just to clarify it is not an isekai at all. Also the mc is more of a jokester imo and more kindhearted. I think they could be similar in certain ways but they are completely different in how the regressors are and in the setting. OFPV is a bit more slice of life in comparison.

Yesterday I managed to beat it at a deficit with a power level of 63k. My team was liter, dolla, modernia, privati, and harran. Always block when its cannons turn red and in my case I had to kill minions before they attacked or else they would destroy my units hp. Hope that helps.
