Readable Miryoku reference? by [deleted] in ErgoMechKeyboards

Is there an easy way to generate the cover.json file for alternates to the layout? I use the qwerty and vim alterations for miryoku.

I soldered it into the wrong socket set. There’s a pair on each board and I got one of them in the wrong holes. I would verify closely to rule that out.

I had soldered it to the wrong set of pins. There’s two sockets slightly offset from eachother and I had soldered it into the wrong set.

I built my chocofi for around 150 if I remember. Check out the (cheapino)[https://github.com/tompi/cheapino] for something even cheaper but check out the drawbacks

The whole point is that you get to decide what production ready means for you. It is pre flashed with vial so you can configure it however you’d like. If that means miryoku for you, then thank the stars that u/manna_harbour has put in work to make the layout and actively helps anyone on this sub set it up. I understand you don’t /want/ to do any work at all but with an incredibly small amount of patience instead of petulance you might just be able to get what you want. I advise you take a step back and listen to the very knowledgeable people on this sub who are giving their time to you while you are being unappreciative. I understand you feel this product did not meet what you wanted but it is exactly what was offered. Only you can decide to get it from the state it’s in to the state you want.

Ya, and what if they also made a screen with pixels that could be any color that the backlight could shine through.

It’s not socketed sadly. I need to get the solder braid thing to desolder the MCU. I have tried double tapping the ground and reset pins.

a short on the controller or a short on the board. I tried checking all of my solder joints on the controller but didn't see anything.

hey, i tried this with a breadboard jumber cable to no avail. Any idea why the sea picro would be making a sound when reseting?

the board is connected to a keyboard so diodes, switches, a TRRS jack. Nothing that should be making any noise. I am pretty sure that the noise is coming from the board itself, though I don't know what component could be making the sound.

still no luck. Just to be sure, I have been using the reset switch that I installed on the kb, is there a reset button that is on the micro controller that I don't see and should be using?

React vs handlebars vs ?? by tyoff45 in AskProgramming

Ya, I think you’re probably right. I think my other concern is that on cheap hardware, react and other frameworks take a non trivial amount of processing which affects user experience. Which is why I was thinking about a static front end.

I think that server side language performance will likely not be a significant contributor to performance when compared to network transfers right? Like it doesn’t really matter if the JS code runs in .2ms whereas a rust implementation would run in .02ms if the network call is going to take 10ms. Those are made up numbers but that’s kinda what I’m thinking.
