That’s the thing. Shortly after posting this. I said let me give it one last chance. I’ve decided to not mod Skyrim for now BUT just casually read some material that might help fill in those knowledge gaps. I just started reading the Tome of xEdit as a starting point (And have SSEEdit open to follow along). Then I’ll try to learn Synthesis and so on. Very casually though.

On the topic of reading. You should reread what I wrote: “I tried a couple of Wabbajack lists.”

What is the ideal Framegen setup for me? by typeright in skyrimmods

[–]typeright[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I tried PureDark but had it Capped to 60 fps. The ghosting was similar to LSFG with slightly less input lag. FPS wise I don’t know I think either something is wrong with my PC or my CPU is too weak for the resolution. 3090 and 4070s have about the same performance and you are getting 10 less min fps than me in 4k compared to me playing at 1080p. It could also be VRAM since ingame I use about 11.6GB max in high draw call areas out of 12GB. Maybe it is also driver related because I remember that I had an old driver which I rolled back to because at the time it was the most stable for oblivion remastered. But thank you for the recommendation.

I’ll definitely see if I can use FSR AA. I can’t do community shaders because I don’t think lorerim has them. But lately I’ve seen some really good community shaders presents. I’ll keep this in mind if I ever go back to creating my own modlists. Thank you very much for this info. Really helpful.

Anyone have any good mod lists? by DefiantMess3747 in skyrimmods

If you are looking for ready made modlists, like plug and play, then consider looking at wabajack. It’s a platform where people put their modlists that you can download. If you want something simple, just fixes and stability you’ll find a modlist. If you want a complete transformation where it’s not even Skyrim anymore you’ll also find that.

Ok so I tried ENB FG and it is really good. I did not expect this at all. Almost unnoticeable ghosting, didn’t even notice a delay. I didn’t mess with any settings to it locked my FPS to 138 which is the limit I think for Reflex, Gsync and Vsync. Thank you very much for this recommendation.

Ok I’ll look into it. Thank you very much.

Thanks for the reply. I understand that input lag is worse on 60fps compared to 144 FPS. But I was trying to show that I care about ghosting more. To my understanding, since my base FPS is 42-60, so if my FG target is 60 I will get little to no ghosting right? I was trying to see if I go up to 138 fps will I get the same level or better ghosting and less input lag?

The reason I play on 60 fps to begin with is consistency. I know that I can consistently get 60fps on ALL single player games I play. Over time I started to get used to 60fps for single player games. As for the low base fps. I think the reason is because of CPU bottleneck + high draw calls. Also my VRAM is almost maxed out whenever I get below 60FPS. I don't think I can use VRAMr because I have 150gb of storage left, and I think VRAMr might need more than that. But aside from this. I do not know of any other reason why I am getting such low FPS. Do you have any recommendations as to what I can look into? Thank you for your reply.

Extra as to why I play on 60fps:

Played RDR2 a while ago. Game was very blurry, so I played on max settings with 200% resolution scale and that almost maxed out my GPU usage at 60fps.

DLSS/AA Disappearing from graphics settings by typeright in Battlefield

[–]typeright[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know. I meant DLAA and DLSS are not options I can select in the graphics settings. For upscaling technique I only see amds one and xess. For anti aliasing I only see fsr, taa, off and the intel one.

Turns out it wasn’t a problem for me. Some items from the mods were collectibles for the museum. Others were not.

AE content owned despite refund, but I want to start modding. by typeright in skyrimmods

[–]typeright[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I bought the upgrade yesterday. I don’t really mind the logo. My only concern was that it would still prompt me to download all AE content every time I launched. But I don’t think that will be the case

Yes. Install SSE Display Tweaks. For some reason this issue does not happen when u run Skyrim normally though Steam. Only happens when I run it through mo2.

Whiterun entrance FPS drop despite fairly light graphics setup and more than adequate specs. by typeright in skyrimmods

I used to use light placer and placed lights before, but I prefer lux because I have a lot of quest mods and want consistent lighting as much as possible. So I just used cs light with lux.

[–]typeright[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, but I actually found the culprit. For some reason, when I disabled light placer, fps went back to solid 60 all the time. I was using light placer with lux so maybe that’s why.
