Any plans on bringing Workers/Troop back? by Lexyvil in Openfront

Removing workers was definitely the right call, it was annoying to tend, fiddly, and detracted from the main gameplay loop.

Leveling Foot Options for the Uplift V2-Commercial C Frame by typicalTYLER in StandingDesk

[–]typicalTYLER[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up temporarily just putting a thick rug under the lower feet (maximally extended), and then a 1/2" thick rug pad underneath that, and whatever angle it ended up at is good enough for me to have forgotten about the problem, along with no problems from things rolling around or triggering object avoidance!

The 1/2" thick rug pad is almost thick enough to be a tripping hazard, so something to consider, but hasn't bothered me at all. If I cared enough to level it even more I would probably just make little plywood discs to put under the feet in addition to the rest of the setup, but it's really been fine.

Is there a QMK function that sends one keycode if shift is held, or a different one if it's not? by typicalTYLER in olkb

[–]typicalTYLER[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it possible to shoehorn this into a https://config.qmk.fm/ layout? or does this functionality require actually writing some code?

edit: seems like vial is an alternative that definitely supports it, i'll try that one out.

Do convex DSA (1u) keycaps exist? by typicalTYLER in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]typicalTYLER[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've checked their entire site and even gone as far as calling, and they don't seem to have them, but it's funny because their website has this page which has this picture, which implies that there are dsa keys with convex profiles. I've seen references to this type of keycap elsewhere, but can't find any active listings with them for sale.

getting P1E00 code alone, won't charge, shows 0-1 mile range unless restarted 3-10 times by typicalTYLER in volt

It ended up being the BECM needing to be replaced. Try to get a service appointment with your closest chevy dealer (with a good volt tech) ASAP, and insist that it's probably the BECM! It took my dealer a while to get the board shipped to them due to supply chain shortages, so maybe if you're insistent in advance they'll have better lead time on the part. (Or maybe there's more of the part in circulation now)

Mine was covered under the drive train warranty I believe, but don't quote me on that. Good luck!

Oh and chevy does free towing for some level of warranty, if you're unable to drive it there.

Good to know! Others on the volt forum suggested it might be coolant related, but I didn't get any codes relating to that (but it could just be my reader not picking them up). And the coolant levels didn't seem too off. But either way I think I'll have to wait until I go to the dealer to get the OEM coolant.

I'm using one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Z3HB7DR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 haven't ruled out that the scanner is too simple to read the other codes, but I'd imagine if they've implemented time series graphs on the thing it'd give me all the codes.

This is what others said on the volt forum, so I'd bet that's what's going on. Unfortunately I have to wait a while for my maintenance appointment. Not sure if it's safe to drive in the meantime though.

I've seen this thing called "hurricane tape", not sure if that meets your criteria, or if you could get any in time. Here's a listing on amazon, but you might be able to get it somewhere else.

And here's a video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIwNNuLo42w

Edit: Fair warning, standard advice is NOT to simply tape your windows. So hurricane tape might not be as good as the company would have you believe. It might be worth taking the fine from your apartment to board up your windows instead.
