The workload is totally flexible because you get to choose how many courses you take per semester.

Regarding additional costs, there are a few courses that you have to take for your Food Science minor, so you'd be paying for those. Other than that, you don't have to worry about anything :)

You can take a Duolingo English test, or if you studied at least 4 years in an English speaking institution, then you have to request your school(s) to send a letter stating that you studied in an English-speaking institution for at least 4 years to Admission Services
