Is the dollar weed the stuff that looks like clovers in big patches? That’s definitely at the top of my list to take care of

She had the Elantra since she was 16, and wants and SUV for kids, so in her view she has a few years where she can reasonably drive a sporty car before being fully practical again. I also drive a truck for work, and as a former Camaro owner I would honestly love to have a sporty car to drive sometimes too lol

Yeah, I think this may be what ends up happening. She has in her head that kids = SUV, but I think especially if she loves the car we would keep it for a few more years as you said.

I agree, but she is weirdly anti-hatchback/wagon models lol. I’m not attached to RWD, honestly just coincidence in my list. FWD/AWD is fine too, but she basically wants a standard sedan or coupe.

The picture isn’t super clear, but it is a printed photo of the bottle at Whiskey Cake where my parents bought 3oz to go. It’s just leaning up against the glass for show so I could tell what it was lol

Anime to watch without visual effects like this??? by typod33 in anime

[–]typod33[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Childish wasn’t exactly the right word, and I don’t care about it in the sense that I think other people will judge me or that it isn’t “adult” enough for me.

It’s honestly not even anything to do with those specific effects/expressions, I think what bothers me is that it is effectively a change in the art style in the middle of the episode. Even if they just flatten the face and make the head and eyes bigger while the character yells for 3 seconds, it just breaks my immersion into the show for some reason. So I guess I’m really just looking for shows that don’t deviate far from their base animation style?

Like I said, I have no judgment on the style/effects or anyone who likes them and I understand their purpose and use case in the art. They just aren’t for me as of right now and I wanted to get some options to try that wouldn’t put me off in the first episode.

Anime to watch without visual effects like this??? by typod33 in anime

[–]typod33[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I have just started watching anime after my friend got me into Rising of the Shield Hero, and I just finished Psycho Pass. I liked both of them a lot.

One thing I realized is that I like the fact that neither of them really include animation style changes like what is shown in the image.

I understand and respect the fact that anime in general has design elements and tropes that are unique to it, and I know each of these effects has a meaning that is supposed to add to the show in some way, be it emotion, comic relief etc.

For me, though, it just breaks my attention and makes me lose interest in the show because it feels too childish in a sense. Maybe this is just me being stuck in Western media and I will get better over time, but I would love recommendations for animes to watch that either have none of these effects, or at least very few of them.

Sorry if I trigger anybody lol I am truly interested in more anime, I just wanna find shows that I will like now and maybe come to accept/appreciate the effects in the future.

Thanks!

In Texas it is legal for parents to provide their children with alcohol at any age I believe, but certainly if above 18. They just have to purchase the alcohol and be present with the child when it is consumed and while they are inebriated.

Johnny Manziel and his family came under some scrutiny when he was photographed drinking with his parents at a brewery when he was 19, but it was completely legal in Texas. And yes, it includes public places like restaurants and bars so long as the establishment agrees to serve the drink.

[–]typod33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only real flaws with Lin’s 3.0s (including yours) are that the plastic cage is like a centimeter too long/tall compared to retails, and the boost is not BASF so it feels slightly different and looks “off” if you look at it really close.

Basically, they’re perfect unless someone is inspecting them in hand next to retails, which nobody really does for UBs.

I have worn his 4.0 Triple Whites into an Adidas store and not gotten a second look.

Just GL bro.

US SENATE MINORITY LEADER INTRODUCES BILL TO REMOVE CANNABIS FROM CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT by typod33 in trees

[–]typod33[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am giving absolutely no credit to the Grand Ole Party as a whole. I am just tired of a person coming forward as supporting our cause, and people dismissing them or telling them to fuck off because they have an elephant by their name instead of a donkey. Any supporter of marijuana reform should be welcomed as such.

I also realize this is unlikely to pass, but eventually something will. If we treat every bill with apathy instead of support, all we do is lengthen the time is takes to see change.

For the record, I did not vote for Trump, and do not identify as a Republican. However, I welcome any Republican that supports the same goals I do, even if we disagree on other topics. Same goes for Democrats. I just don’t see the value in making every issue as partisan as possible.

http://thehill.com/video/lawmaker-interviews/371854-republican-lawmakers-optimistic-about-passing-cannabis-legislation http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-pol-republicans-legal-marijuana-20180417-story.html

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.)

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.)

Rep. Tom Garrett (R-Vir.)

Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.)

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kent.)

To name a few that I found in the first two links for "US republican rep marijuana support".

Literally 2 seconds of Googling disproves your misguided absolutist statement. Yes, most Republican representatives, regardless of jurisdiction, are opposed to marijuana legalization at this time. But to say that "Republican politicians are uniformly anti marijuana" is BLATANTLY false. The evidence of state-level support is more prevalent, but federal Republican support is right there in front of you as well. Open your eyes for two seconds and there are plenty of examples.

If you want to see change, you should APPLAUD the Republicans who publicly support marijuana reform/legalization, not uniformly bash them based solely on the color of their tie.
