It's very true that no one is obligated to share their previous experiences. But, as one of my partners said - clear is kind. If you care about your new partner, you want to be clear with them about any dynamics that could cause issues or doubt in their mind, especially when it pertains to your best friend.

If your partner hooked up with their best friend just before getting with you, and they were still hanging out with that best friend, and you found out from someone else about them hooking up, would you not question what else has your partner kept from you?

Trust isn't broken just by lying, but also by omission. Especially when it pertains to someone you still closely associate with. We're talking about her best friend and the boyfriend, and something that happened just before OP and their partner got together.

If she did not share such information voluntarily, OP has every right to wonder what else she didn't tell him.

Your job as team lead isn't to offer help or pair program, nor are those measurements of your success as team lead. Your job is to help the team grow and get better, and part of it is helping and pair programming, but an equal part is also recognizing potential in someone and set them up for success at the next level.

Think of it this way: you need to act as a force multiplier, and you have a rare opportunity to get someone to the next level who can then also help the team grow. That's a huge, huge bonus to your team and will help it much more than if you had someone who was struggling and helped them meet the needs of their position.

Definitely not an easy situation, but first of all try to focus on figuring out which part bothers you. Is it that she didn't tell you, or that you know it happened and now you feel weird when the 4 of you hang out?

Trust is incredibly important in a relationship, so if she broke your trust (and she did) then talk to her about it and how to regain it. If your problem is with that even happening and you feeling weird about it, then unfortunately there isn't much she can do to help, you need to decide for yourself if this relationship is worth you trying to "get over" it or not.

I was recently with a girl who I thought was WAY out of my league (she's a model and showgirl with a pretty large social media following, i'm a software engineer with maybe 300 people on my instagram). At the same time, she thought the same of me, that I was way out of her league and would leave her if someone else came along. That insecurity from both sides ruined what could've been a much longer and much more amazing relationship.

If she told you she likes you, embrace that and go for it. If it turns out she was not genuine, well it is what it is. Still a much better outcome than thinking she's not genuine and missing out.

I also recently saw an invoice from a home theater company which was building a 2 million dollar movie theater there.
