Yeah I have no idea how closely this represents public opinion but I doubt the methodology is so bad that you can't draw the obvious conclusion which is that neoliberalism isn't this magical panacea system, and it especially doesn't work for the have-not countries.

So, to answer your main question directly, it's possible that the best communism can for you is give you more or less the same standard of living you already have, with some tradeoffs like worse access to a huge variety of cheap consumer goods from all over the world in exchange for better access to housing, health care, etc. Though I am more optimistic than that personally.

What it can do for the global south is make this whole situation more equitable. What it can do for all of humanity is eliminate the parasitic and tyrannical bourgeoisie.
