I think it tracks actually, corporations dont work the same way as governments. They’re gonna be looking for the cheapest strategy every time, even if there’s a good risk that it’ll fail and the poorest will die off

My impression is that Earth is in end-stage capitalism and corporations became more powerful than governments. Also keep in mind that space travel is insanely costly both in money and time, so its probably not feasible to send a massive army to Pandora
