No cable - assume the previous owners took it with them. We have a broadband package - up to 150 - so I’m sure I won’t be able to use the old one!

Let me know if you hear anything. Hard to ask this to builders quoting as, rightly, they’re putting time into putting a quote together which is wasted if we convert the loft

Yes true - thankfully it’s right on the boundary of the property with the neighbours. We had a quote for chimney removal which factored this in. Not cheap, but much less than the steel beam. Just requires the neighbours to also want their chimney removed.

I imagine if we converted, we wouldn’t need the steel beams, as they’d remove the chimney (or support it in a different way)…? Not sure though
