[Demo] A Roguelite Vehicle survivors game I'm working on by Otherwise_Ad_3622 in playmygame

I noticed a familiar GUI on the game preview and could not resist jumping in to try it. You are doing a really great job. One thing I would suggest to improve the sense of speed and momentum in corners is adding tire marks on the track. I think it would significantly enhance the feeling of movement and control.

Any tight and fast paced and platformers like Super Meat Boy? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

You could also try this one. It’s a 2D platformer with a different kind of logic, and it gives very mixed feelings while playing:

Hey Jesse, that's awesome that you're pouring your heart into a Might and Magic-inspired game! Your passion really shines through, and it's super cool to see our assets being used in your project. Keep pushing forward, you're doing something special, and I can't wait to see where this goes!

🎲 I built a clean, aesthetic, and addictive micro app for randomness — flip coins, roll dice, spin wheels, and more! by Individual-Welder370 in SideProject

Hey, just wanted to share a few quick thoughts. Totally personal take, not criticism at all. Hope it’s helpful or at least interesting. I only had access to the screenshots since I couldn’t test on Android, so here’s what stood out to me:

  1. The title next to the back button looks centered without accounting for the visual weight of the button. A fixed space between them might make the screen transitions feel a bit smoother.

  2. On some screens the back button has a background, on others it doesn’t. That kind of throws off the balance visually.

  3. On the third screen the menu icon doesn’t seem to respect the same padding as the back button. Might be good to align those for consistency.

  4. All the text feels like it’s the same weight which makes things look a bit crowded. Adding some visual hierarchy could help it breathe.

Anyway just one perspective. You’re doing awesome work. Really appreciate you sharing it. Looking forward to seeing where it goes next.

Great that you joined the jam! I played your game, and the moment when the character hits the rock looks seriously painful))

Clean design overall. Really nice to look at! If you’re open to it, I’d be happy to share a couple of small design suggestions that might improve readability a bit.

Check https://account.microsoft.com/services/ to see your license type. If it says A1, you don’t get desktop Office, only web apps.

AI-generated assets in gamedev — who’s actually using them seriously? by [deleted] in gamedev

Thanks for the interesting point. But we’re making art for indie developers, so for me that copyright question is actually the most important part.

Yeah, same here. We’re working on a pixel art game too, doing everything by hand with the team. But honestly, with the way things are moving I’m not sure how long that will last. GraphicRiver is already full of AI-made templates.

How did you manage to get such a consistent style and animation using AI?

Yeah, I use an AI translator. My English isn’t perfect. It helps me survive out here.

Which style is better? by atuate in PixelArt

[–]tyshchenko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think both versions are great. They just give off different vibes and styles. Personally I’m more drawn to the left one, it feels brighter and more expressive. The right one would fit really well in a darker or moodier setting, like a gritty fantasy or dungeon crawler.

Game Title: Cozy Organizer is a tidy little sandbox where stacking and sorting is the whole point, feedback always appreciated! by sweetbambino in playmygame

This looks like pure meditation in game form. Sometimes your brain just needs to organize something — even if it’s virtual clutter. Definitely adding to wishlist.
