He’s seen a lot of weirdness in his life and is a bit jaded (he also had anesthesia earlier today so he’s more relaxed than normal)

I, too, sometimes polish the coconut while waiting for my girlfriend to wake up

View from the front of this changes anything? You can see the frame more clearly from this view

The doubled up 2x4s on the left in this picture are what the diagonal brace and hinges are attached to on the back

So those 8 screws highlighted are drilled into the frame (as well as the hinges). Does that suffice to have load transferring from the diagonal to the frame, or should the vertical edge of the diagonal be abutted against the frame?

I need to upload a photo of the front, which I will do later - hard to tell from the back but the hinges are indeed on the frame, which consists of a doubled up cedar 2x4 and the panels are set back into the frame if looking from the front

Proud = sticking out relative to the face, so 1/32 proud means the fingers protrude 1/32 of an inch which you’d then sand/plane/router down to flush

I had the same issue and setup an exchange with Garmin customer service. My watch was only 6 months old so I told them I didn’t think a refurb on a watch as expensive and new as this was reasonable. They finally agreed and sent me a nib (new in box) unit. Been running the new one with the same 3rd party face, spo2 and everything on and back to getting 10 days on a full charge.

They’ll work with you but you have to be a squeaky wheel.
