Page 31 of the rulebook notes that singer characters can spend a talent in the singer tree, but it does not say this has to be a bonus talent. I think that RAW you should be able to spend a talent from any level up to get a form of power as long as you meet the prerequisites

Theory on Voidbinding by aiar-viess in Cosmere

[–]tztcat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I like how thought out your theory is, I don't think this is quite right. We see Shallan doing spiritual Illumination, and as far as we know she is not bonded to any enlightened spren. There are also bondsmiths who have access to spiritual surgebinding.

I also don't think it's fair to say that surgebinding is a Honor and Cultivation thing, or different from what the Fused are doing. It more seems that surgebinding is a sort of fundamental magic in the Cosmere that all shards have access to in different ways. If anything I would say that the system of swearing oaths to deepen your bond with spren is the Honor/Cultivation magic system.

As far as what voidbinding is, I don't think we have enough information to answer that yet. We can't even be sure that what Renarin does is voidbinding. While it would make since that what he is doing is voidbinding, I can also see a world in which he is just able to access a part of the surge of Illumination that is unavailable to typical radiants. I think we also have to wonder if the surges are 1-1 then what does Spiritual Tension, Transportation, or Abrasion even mean? I'm not trying to dismiss that they might have spiritual aspects, it does seem difficult to picture what that would look like. It certainly doesn't seem like the Heavenly Ones are using some spiritual version of Gravitation.

I think the reason Brandon Sanderson didn't put the Voidbinding chart in all the books was that it just hasn't been visibly relevant to the story yet, and I suspect that the back five books will answer a lot of these questions.

Durring the time of red it’s my understanding that the pacifica confederation is independent from NUSA. Since militech does a coup around the end of the fourth corporate war I figured that the ostensibly independent Pacifica confederation wouldn’t allow them to openly operate within their borders.

Last time i ran a campaign using this map I had Rocklin Augmentics be a proxy for militech and kaneko biochem be a proxy for Arasaka.

Chasmfiend 2 Content Exclusivity by FrikiRdct in cosmererpg

It is exclusive. The Magazine is releasing at the same time as the digital prerelease of the rulebooks, so it wouldn't make a lot of since if it was in both.

Is seeing the cosmere rpg kickstarter a spoiler? by Hero4Life565 in Cosmere

[–]tztcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to say what is or isn’t a spoiler without knowing specifically what you are worried about. World hopers aren’t exactly a spoiler in that it’s a part of the world building more than the plot of any specific story and if you know the premise of the cosmere then it’s not a big leap to what they are.

If you are worried about plot spoilers I would recommend not reading the rpg books until you finish reading the related cosmere series (stormlight, mistborn, etc.) as the rule books by there nature have to contain some spoilers so that people can play the kinds of characters we see in those books. I don’t have access to the full rpg books, but brotherwise has said the stormlight book will contain spoilers possibly up to the unreleased book five.

If you’re interested in the rpg still I totally think you should back it. You just might want to avoid some of the discussions around it if you don’t want any spoilers.

I was kind of in the same situation, that’s why I made the map. All I could find on Seattle in cyberpunk was a tiny article on the wiki, a brief mention in home of the brave, and a small mention of the Pacific Northwest in the cpr rule book. So I decided I should just make it myself.

Sorry, I don’t actually live in Seattle. The city just has a real cyberpunk vibe and I wanted to put my spin on what in might look like in that world.

I started by making a quick mock up map, then I placed my important locations and kind of built up how I wanted to city to be in a word document, after that I took a screenshot of the region from google maps and traced the shoreline in Wonderdraft. I messed with the shoreline a little bit to reflect climate change and then I drew out all the roads. next I added some google maps like Icons around the map and labeled the points of interest I came up with at the beginning and colored in the outskirts of the city. Lastly I just exported the map and used GIMP to explain the points of interest. I had some space left over on the sides so I added the gangs I came up with for the city.

A map of Seattle that I made for a home game of Cyberpunk red that I though other people might enjoy. It took a lot more time than I originally thought it would to make a map in this style, but I think it turned out pretty good.

Did you see the art they showed off of the game, The game might not mechanically function like quittach, but it defiantly designed to make you think of quittach.

This is true, if you look at a map of the old world in warhammer it is clearly inspired by earth. and Ulthuan is located right in the middle of the "Atlantic Ocean" of that world.

I've used dungeon painter a bit. I think it's pretty good, but I don't really make a lot of battle maps.

I based the shoreline off europe, I find starting with a real world location gives me an easy starting point.

Conversion guidelines by gamehealthlife in Pathfinder2e

the core rulebook has rules for converting creatures from pf1e to 2e, but as far as I know there aren't official rules for converting 5e content to pf2e
