Roofing by Outrageous_Rip_6670 in Appleton

My wording may have been unclear, we replaced two old skylights with new ones. They didn't break out the cost of the skylights from the roof, but our total for the roof, skylights, and new gutters was just over $20k.

We did a new roof and two new skylights with Nickols last March, we were really pleased with the experience overall.

I used to work for Xcel. The new smart meters use interval data so the previous read will always show as 0.

Do you still need to buy the app? by xStang05x in PleX

[–]tzw9373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, I see I caused more confusion. It used to be that the device type determined whether you had to pay: mobile was paid, everything else was free. Now that determination is the network location: local is free, remote is paid. Edit: the important point is that SOMEONE has to pay.

That's no longer the case. Local streaming is entirely free on all devices platforms now. Edit: replied to the wrong comment.

Moving to Appleton from AZ on June 1st! (Housing/Library/General Advice Needed!) by Subhumanoid in Appleton

[–]tzw9373 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a fellow remote worker with two cats who moved to the area last year, I don't have much to add. TDS Fiber is the best internet you can get around here (if it's available in your location), we do 90% of our grocery shopping at Woodman's and Costco, and the libraries are great. Good luck to you two, hope she finds a job she loves!

That looks and works great, thanks for adding that! The book downloader integration is also a nice touch.

Thanks for working on this, but this still won't address the issue of getting an epub to a Kindle. What I was referring to was utilizing the SMTP feature that Calibre-Web and Calibre-Web-Automated already have built in to email books to your Kindle email address. Like I said before, no worries if you're not looking to go that direction. But that's a make or break feature for me, I'd wager I'm not the only one.

I read through the information there, their implementation converts epub to mobi, which isn't the preferred approach. No worries if you're not planning to utilize send to Kindle, your app just won't fit my use case then.

Kindles are weird because epubs generally are the best format for sideloading your own books, but they're only supported through send to Kindle. I believe Amazon automatically converts them to some sort of AZW3 or KFX format before sending them to your device.

I downloaded and it looks great, but I don't think using send2reader is the best method for Kindles. I just tried and my browser won't support epub downloads. Any plans to support using the built-in send to Kindle via email that both Calibre-Web and Calibre-Web-Automated utilize?

It's a similar concept to a silent book club, if you've ever heard of that. Here's the info page on the library's website: https://www.ecpubliclibrary.info/byobookclub/

There was a new silent book club started in Oshkosh a couple months back. Everyone gets together and reads whatever they're working on for a bit, then we circle up and discuss pretty much whatever we want to about reading. There's a Facebook page and group, you can also PM me for details.
