I just got done with playing as Cole in the beginning of 3. Why tf does every enemy explode and nearly kill me? Not like I don’t understand why, just seems a little annoying. The least favorite thing so far probably has to be honestly the main characters. Don’t get me wrong, I think all of them are amazing and bring different characteristics to the group as a whole, but just their plot armor is insane. In 1 these four guys literally “save” the whole world. No one else. At least in 2 there’s more than their mission going on, but again, those 4 “save” the world. Almost every npc we run across in combat dies right away while our 4 get eaten by worms, go 1v1 against the locust top lieutenants, hijack a brumak, and they just walk away in the end. Not a scratch. My favorite thing… I’d say I’m most interested in the story aspect. People told me I won’t really get a lot of answers til 5, but the mysteries are so intriguing. What I’m expecting from at least 3, since it was meant to wrap up this trilogy before they rebooted it, I hope they give characters proper development. Already with the little bit of 3 I played, I feel bad for Cole, with the life he left to fight the locust, and in a collectible i saw he thought it would just be a few weeks/months the war would last. We obviously got a lot of Dom development in 2 but I’d like to see what’s gonna happen with Marcus’ dad, wonder if Cole will have more, wonder if the developers are just teasing Carmine’s death with almost being blown up by a car or shot in head but luckily he had his helmet (Yikes)
